Same verse. — This my hope is laid up in my bosom. 78. Job most certain of his resurrection. — We believe we have nothing more certain than that which we hold in our bosom. In his own bosom, therefore, he held his hope laid up, because he presumed a true certainty concerning the hope of the resurrection. But because the coming day of the resurrection had become known to him, now already, whether by his own voice, or as a type of the holy and universal Church, he rebukes the deeds of the wicked, and foretells the judgment which follows on the day of resurrection.
