Verses 15, 16. — And when a spirit passed in my presence, the hairs of my flesh stood up; there stood one whose countenance I knew not. 48. They now pretend to have come to know incomprehensible things in themselves. — That they may indicate that they have known incomprehensible things, they relate that a spirit did not stand, but passed before them; and they feign that they saw an unknown countenance, so as to show that they are known to Him who cannot be known by the human mind.
