Thus says the Lord God: The gate in the inner court that looks toward the east shall be shut the six working days; but on the day of the sabbaths it shall be opened, and on the day of the new moon it shall be opened.
And the leader shall come in by the way of the ailam of the gate from outside, and shall stand at the doorway of the gate; and the priests shall offer his whole burnt offerings and his peace offerings. And he shall worship at the doorway of the gate and shall go out; and the gate shall not be shut until evening.
And when the people of the land come in before the Lord at the feasts, he who comes in by the way of the north gate to worship shall go out by the way of the south gate; and he who comes in by the way of the south gate shall go out by the way of the north gate. He shall not turn back by the gate through which he came in, but shall go out straight ahead of it.
And at the feasts and at the festal assemblies the manaa shall be a cake for the calf and a cake for the ram; and for the lambs, as much as his hand can afford; and a hin of oil for the cake.
But if the leader makes a confession offering, a whole burnt offering of peace offering to the Lord, then he shall open for himself the gate that looks toward the east, and shall offer his whole burnt offering and his peace offerings in the manner he does on the day of the sabbaths; and he shall go out, and shall shut the doors after he has gone out.
And he shall offer a manaa upon it in the morning: a sixth of the measure, and a third of the hin of oil, to mix with the fine flour—a manaa to the Lord, a perpetual ordinance.
Thus says the Lord God: If the leader gives a gift to one of his sons out of his inheritance, this shall belong to his sons; it is a possession by inheritance.
But if he gives a gift to one of his servants, then it shall be his until the year of release, and he shall give it back to the leader; only the inheritance of his sons—it shall be theirs.
And the leader shall not take from the inheritance of the people so as to oppress them; out of his own possession he shall give an inheritance to his sons, so that my people may not be scattered, each from his own possession.
And he brought me to the entrance at the back of the gate, into the chamber of the holy things of the priests, the one looking toward the north; and behold, there was a place there set apart.
And he said to me: This is the place where the priests shall boil the offerings for ignorance and the offerings for sin; and there they shall bake the manaa altogether, so as not to carry them out into the outer court to sanctify the people.
And he brought me out into the outer court and led me around to the four parts of the court; and behold, a court at the side of the court, a court at the side of the court.
