and say, Thus says the Lord: Behold, I am against Pharao, the great dragon that lies in the midst of his rivers, who says, The rivers are mine, and I made them.
And I will put snares in your jaws, and I will make the fish of your river cling to your fins; and I will bring you up from the midst of your river, and all the fish of your river.
And I will cast you down swiftly, and all the fish of your river; you shall fall upon the face of the plain, and you shall not be gathered nor laid out for burial. To the beasts of the earth and to the birds of heaven I have given you for food.
When they took hold of you with their hand, you were crushed; and when every hand prevailed against them, and when they leaned upon you, you were shattered, and you broke all their loins.
And the land of Egypt shall be destruction and a desert; and they shall know that I am the Lord, because you said, The rivers are mine, and I made them.
Therefore, behold, I am against you and against all your rivers; and I will make the land of Egypt a desert and a sword and destruction, from Magdolos and Syene and as far as the borders of the Ethiopians.
And I will make her land a desolation in the midst of a desolated land, and her cities shall be desolate in the midst of desolated cities for forty years; and I will scatter Egypt among the nations, and winnow them into the countries.
And I will turn back the captivity of the Egyptians, and will settle them in the land of Pathoures, in the land from which they were taken; and it shall be a lowly kingdom,
lower than all the kingdoms; it shall never again exalt itself over the nations, and I will make them few, so that they shall not be many among the nations.
And they shall no longer be a hope to the house of Israel, calling iniquity to remembrance when they follow after them; and they shall know that I am the Lord.
Son of man, Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon made his army serve a great servitude against Tyre: every head was made bald and every shoulder rubbed bare; yet no wages came to him or to his army from Tyre, for the servitude with which they served against her.
Thus says the Lord, the Lord: Behold, I am giving to Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon the land of Egypt; and he shall plunder her plunder and spoil her spoil, and it shall be wages for his army.
In that day a horn shall spring up for all the house of Israel, and I will give you an opened mouth in their midst; and they shall know that I am the Lord.
