And I will stretch out my hand against the prophets who see false things and who utter vain things; they shall not be in the instruction of my people, nor shall they be written in the register of the house of Israel, and they shall not enter into the land of Israel; and they shall know that I am the Lord.
Because they led my people astray, saying, 'Peace, peace,' and there was no peace; and this one builds a wall, and they plaster it — whether it will fall.
Say to those who plaster: It shall fall; and there shall be a flooding rain, and I will send hurling stones into their joints, and they shall fall; and a sweeping wind, and it shall be torn apart.
Therefore thus says the Lord: I will let loose a sweeping blast in wrath, and there shall be a flooding rain in my anger, and in wrath I will bring hurling stones to make a full end.
And I will tear down the wall which you plastered, and it shall fall; and I will lay it on the ground, and its foundations shall be uncovered, and it shall fall; and you shall be brought to an end amid rebukes, and you shall know that I am the Lord.
And I will spend my wrath upon the wall and upon those who plaster it, and it shall fall; and I said to you: The wall is no more, nor are those who plaster it.
And you shall say: Thus says the Lord: Woe to those women who sew cushions upon every elbow of the hand and who make head-coverings for every head of every stature, to pervert souls. The souls of my people were perverted, and they preserved souls alive.
And they profaned me before my people for a handful of barley and for pieces of bread, to kill souls that ought not to die and to preserve alive souls that ought not to live, by your uttering vain utterances to a people that listens.
Therefore thus says the Lord, the Lord: Behold, I am against your cushions, on which you gather souls together there; and I will tear them from your arms, and I will send away the souls, the souls which you twist about, for scattering.
And I will tear your head-coverings, and I will rescue my people out of your hand, and they shall no longer be in your hands to be ensnared; and you shall know that I am the Lord.
Because you perverted the heart of the righteous unjustly, though I did not pervert him, and because you strengthened the hands of the lawless one so that he should not at all turn back from his evil way and live.
Therefore you shall no longer see false things, nor shall you practice divination any more; and I will rescue my people out of your hand, and you shall know that I am the Lord.
