Son of man, because Sor said against Jerusalem, Aha, she is broken, the nations have perished, she has turned to me; the full one has been made desolate —
And they shall throw down the walls of Sor, and they shall throw down your towers; and I will winnow her dust away from her and will make her a bare rock.
For thus says the Lord: Behold, I am bringing upon you, O Sor, Nabouchodonosor king of Babylon from the north — he is a king of kings — with horses and chariots and horsemen and a gathering of very many nations.
He shall slay with the sword your daughters who are in the plain, and he shall set a watch against you and shall build around you, and he shall make a palisade around you and an array of arms, and he shall set his lances against you.
From the multitude of his horses their dust shall cover you; and from the sound of his horsemen and of the wheels of his chariots your walls shall shake, when he enters your gates, as one entering into a city from a plain.
With the hooves of his horses they shall trample all your streets; your people he shall slay with the sword, and the foundation of your strength he shall bring down to the ground.
And he shall plunder your power and shall spoil your possessions and shall throw down your walls, and he shall demolish your desirable houses, and your stones and your timbers and your dust he shall cast into the midst of the sea.
For thus says the Lord the Lord to Sor: Shall not the islands shake at the sound of your fall, when the wounded groan, when the sword is drawn in your midst?
And all the rulers from the nations of the sea shall come down from their thrones and shall remove the turbans from their heads and shall strip off their embroidered clothing. With amazement they shall be amazed; they shall sit upon the ground, and they shall dread their own destruction and shall groan over you.
And they shall take up a lament over you and shall say to you: How you have been destroyed out of the sea, O praised city, that put her terror upon all who dwelt in her!
26:18
καὶφοβηθήσονταιαἱνῆσοιἀφ’ἡμέραςπτώσεώςσου
從你傾倒的日子起,眾海島都必懼怕。
And the islands shall be afraid from the day of your fall.
For thus says the Lord the Lord: When I make you a desolate city, like the cities that shall not be inhabited, when I bring up the abyss against you and much water covers you,
then I will bring you down to those who go down into the pit, to a people of old, and I will settle you in the depths of the earth, like an everlasting desert, with those who go down into the pit, so that you may not be inhabited nor rise up again in the land of the living.
