Psalms 92

Greek original · 16 verses · some words can be tapped for a gloss

← ch. 91ch. 93 →
📖 This chapter exists in 3 other originals — side by side (Hebrew Old Testament, Vulgate, Ge'ez Bible)
⚠️ Psalms use Masoretic (Hebrew) numbering, which differs from printed Vulgate and Septuagint editions: Ps 92 here = Ps 91 in print. Convert before citing a printed edition.
ℹ️ This corpus has no verse-level morphological tagging. Lemmas come mainly from word-level tagging of other books in the same language (not from this verse), falling back to dictionary form-matching for the rest. Rare homographs can still be misread; verify against the original and a specialist lexicon where precision matters.
ℹ️ The Chinese and English alongside are this site's own translation, made directly from the original text on this page (not the CUV or the WEB, which follow the Masoretic Text and a different textual tradition).

A psalm of a song, for the day of the sabbath.

For you have made me glad, O Lord, by what you have made; and in the works of your hands I will exult.
How your works have been magnified, O Lord! Your thoughts have become exceedingly deep.
A foolish man will not know, and one without understanding will not understand these things.
When sinners spring up like grass, and all who work lawlessness peep forth, it is so that they may be utterly destroyed forever and ever.

For behold, your enemies shall perish, and all who work lawlessness shall be scattered.
And my horn shall be exalted like that of a unicorn, and my old age in rich oil.
And my eye has looked upon my enemies, and my ear shall hear of those who rise up against me, the evildoers.
The righteous shall blossom like a palm tree; like the cedar in Lebanon he shall be multiplied.

Planted in the house of the Lord, they shall blossom forth in the courts of our God.
They shall still be multiplied in a rich old age, and they shall be in good comfort,
