Indeed, the Jewish people showed itself a fool, because it despised the very presence of the eternal Wisdom in the flesh. This people grew strong as if with a firm root, because for a time it prevailed by extinguishing the life of the elect. But Eliphaz despises this fool by cursing him, because assuredly all heretics, whose likeness we said the friends of blessed Job held, while they glory in the name of Christ, reprove by authority the perfidy of the Jews.
