Ver. 11.—For they had appointed together, that coming they would visit him at the same time. 66. They enter into a covenant against us.—The vices, indeed, appoint together among themselves under the pretext of virtues, because there are certain ones which are joined against us by a kind of mutual agreement, such as pride and anger, remissness and fear. For anger is near to pride, remissness to fear. By appointing together, therefore, they come, which are allied against us by a kind of kinship of depravity. [Old div.
