Chapter 34, Verse 19. — Who does not accept the person of princes, nor has known the tyrant when he disputed against the poor man. 1. There is no respecting of persons with God. — But by the prince or tyrant any proud man may be understood; while by the poor man the humble is designated. He does not, therefore, know the tyrant disputing against the poor man, because he declares that in judgment he does not know all the proud who now oppress the life of the humble, saying: I know not whence you are (Luke 13:25).
