Psalms 126

Latin original · 6 verses · some words can be tapped for a gloss

← ch. 125ch. 127 →
📖 This chapter exists in 3 other originals — side by side (Hebrew Old Testament, Septuagint, Ge'ez Bible)
⚠️ Psalms use Masoretic (Hebrew) numbering, which differs from printed Vulgate and Septuagint editions: Ps 126 here = Ps 125 in print. Convert before citing a printed edition.
ℹ️ This corpus has no morphological tagging. Glosses are matched by word form against a dictionary — a match does not prove it is the same word (an inflected form can coincide with another word’s lemma). Verify against the original and a specialist lexicon where precision matters.
⚠️ The Chinese and English alongside are the CUV and the WEB, both translated from the Masoretic Text; they follow a different textual tradition from the Greek and Latin shown here and will disagree in places.

126:1
Canticum graduum. In convertendo Dominus captivitatem Sion, facti sumus sicut consolati.
When Yahweh brought back those who returned to Zion, we were like those who dream.
當耶和華將那些被擄的帶回錫安的時候, 我們好像做夢的人。
126:2
Tunc repletum est gaudio os nostrum, et lingua nostra exsultatione. Tunc dicent inter gentes : Magnificavit Dominus facere cum eis.
Then our mouth was filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing. Then they said among the nations, “Yahweh has done great things for them.”
我們滿口喜笑、 滿舌歡呼的時候, 外邦中就有人說: 耶和華為他們行了大事!
126:3
Magnificavit Dominus facere nobiscum ; facti sumus laetantes.
Yahweh has done great things for us, and we are glad.
耶和華果然為我們行了大事, 我們就歡喜。
126:4
Converte, Domine, captivitatem nostram, sicut torrens in austro.
Restore our fortunes again, Yahweh, like the streams in the Negev.
耶和華啊,求你使我們被擄的人歸回, 好像南地的河水復流。
126:5
Qui seminant in lacrimis, in exsultatione metent.
Those who sow in tears will reap in joy.
流淚撒種的, 必歡呼收割!
126:6
Euntes ibant et flebant, mittentes semina sua. Venientes autem venient cum exsultatione, portantes manipulos suos.
He who goes out weeping, carrying seed for sowing, will certainly come again with joy, carrying his sheaves.
那帶種流淚出去的, 必要歡歡樂樂地帶禾捆回來!
