Psalms 19

Latin original · 15 verses · some words can be tapped for a gloss

← ch. 18ch. 20 →
📖 This chapter exists in 3 other originals — side by side (Hebrew Old Testament, Septuagint, Ge'ez Bible)
⚠️ Psalms use Masoretic (Hebrew) numbering, which differs from printed Vulgate and Septuagint editions: Ps 19 here = Ps 18 in print. Convert before citing a printed edition.
ℹ️ This corpus has no morphological tagging. Glosses are matched by word form against a dictionary — a match does not prove it is the same word (an inflected form can coincide with another word’s lemma). Verify against the original and a specialist lexicon where precision matters.
⚠️ The Chinese and English alongside are the CUV and the WEB, both translated from the Masoretic Text; they follow a different textual tradition from the Greek and Latin shown here and will disagree in places.
ℹ️ Some verses here have no matching verse in the public-domain translations (the Psalm superscriptions are not numbered verses in the CUV or the WEB). Those verses were translated by this site with AI (Claude), not taken from the WEB.

這日到那日發出言語; 這夜到那夜傳出知識。
19:3
Non sunt loquelae, neque sermones, quorum non audiantur voces eorum.
There is no speech nor language where their voice is not heard.
無言無語, 也無聲音可聽。
19:4
In omnem terram exivit sonus eorum, et in fines orbis terrae verba eorum.
Their voice has gone out through all the earth, their words to the end of the world. In them he has set a tent for the sun,

19:5
In sole posuit tabernaculum suum ; et ipse tamquam sponsus procedens de thalamo suo. Exsultavit ut gigas ad currendam viam ;
which is as a bridegroom coming out of his room, like a strong man rejoicing to run his course.
太陽如同新郎出洞房, 又如勇士歡然奔路。
19:6
a summo caelo egressio ejus. Et occursus ejus usque ad summum ejus ; nec est qui se abscondat a calore ejus.
His going out is from the end of the heavens, his circuit to its ends. There is nothing hidden from its heat.
它從天這邊出來,繞到天那邊, 沒有一物被隱藏不得它的熱氣。

19:10
desiderabilia super aurum et lapidem pretiosum multum, et dulciora super mel et favum.
They are more to be desired than gold, yes, than much fine gold, sweeter also than honey and the extract of the honeycomb.
都比金子可羨慕,且比極多的精金可羨慕; 比蜜甘甜,且比蜂房下滴的蜜甘甜。
19:11
Etenim servus tuus custodit ea ; in custodiendis illis retributio multa.
Moreover your servant is warned by them. In keeping them there is great reward.

19:13
et ab alienis parce servo tuo. Si mei non fuerint dominati, tunc immaculatus ero, et emundabor a delicto maximo.
Keep back your servant also from presumptuous sins. Let them not have dominion over me. Then I will be upright. I will be blameless and innocent of great transgression.
求你攔阻僕人不犯任意妄為的罪, 不容這罪轄制我, 我便完全,免犯大罪。
19:14
Et erunt ut complaceant eloquia oris mei, et meditatio cordis mei in conspectu tuo semper. Domine, adjutor meus, et redemptor meus.
Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, Yahweh, my rock, and my redeemer.
耶和華-我的磐石,我的救贖主啊, 願我口中的言語、心裏的意念在你面前蒙悅納。
