For who is it that hides counsel from you, sparing his words, and thinks to hide from you? And who will declare to me what I did not know, great and wonderful things which I did not understand?
And after the Lord had spoken all these words to Job, the Lord said to Eliphaz the Thaimanite: “You have sinned, you and your two friends; for you have spoken nothing true before me, as my servant Job has.
Now then take seven bullocks and seven rams, and go to my servant Job, and he will offer a burnt offering for you; and Job my servant shall pray for you, for I will accept his face. For were it not for him, I would have destroyed you; for you have not spoken the truth concerning my servant Job.”
So Eliphaz the Thaimanite and Baldad the Sauchite and Sophar the Minaean went and did as the Lord had commanded them; and he released them from their sin for Job’s sake.
And the Lord increased Job; and when he had prayed also for his friends, he forgave them their sin. And the Lord gave Job double of all that he had before, doubling it.
And all his brothers and his sisters heard of all that had befallen him, and they came to him, and all who had known him from the first. And when they had eaten and drunk with him they comforted him, and they marvelled at all that the Lord had brought upon him; and each gave him one ewe-lamb and an unstamped gold four-drachma piece.
And the Lord blessed the latter end of Job more than the beginning. And his livestock were fourteen thousand sheep, six thousand camels, a thousand yoke of oxen, and a thousand grazing she-asses.

And there were born to him seven sons and three daughters.
And in all that is under heaven there were not found any more beautiful than the daughters of Job; and their father gave them an inheritance among their brothers.
And Job lived after his affliction a hundred and seventy years, and all the years he lived were two hundred and forty-eight. And Job saw his sons and his sons’ sons, to the fourth generation.
And Job died, an old man and full of days. And it is written that he will rise again with those whom the Lord raises up. This man is rendered from the Syriac book: he dwelt in the land of Ausitis, on the borders of Idumea and Arabia; and his name before was Jobab. And having taken an Arabian wife, he begot a son whose name was Ennon. He himself was the son of a father named Zare, of the sons of Esau, and of a mother named Bosorra, so that he was the fifth from Abraham. And these are the kings who reigned in Edom, the land over which he also ruled: first, Balak the son of Beor, and the name of his city was Dennaba; and after Balak, Jobab, who is called Job; and after him Asom, who was a leader out of the region of Thaiman; and after him Adad the son of Barad, who cut down Midian in the plain of Moab, and the name of his city was Geththaim. And the friends who came to him were Eliphaz, of the sons of Esau, king of the Thaimanites; Baldad, ruler of the Sauchaeans; Sophar, king of the Minaeans.
