ὑπολαβὼν δὲ Ελιφας ὁ Θαιμανίτης λέγει
提幔人以利法回答說：
Then Eliphaz the Thaimanite answered and says:
22:2
πότερον οὐχὶ ὁ κύριός ἐστιν ὁ διδάσκων σύνεσιν καὶ ἐπιστήμην
豈不是主在教導悟性和知識嗎？
Is it not the Lord who teaches understanding and knowledge?
22:3
τί γὰρ μέλει τῷ κυρίῳ ἐὰν σὺ ἦσθα τοῖς ἔργοις ἄμεμπτος ἢ ὠφέλεια ὅτι ἁπλώσῃς τὴν ὁδόν σου
你行為若無可指摘，與主有甚麼相干呢？你把自己的路修直，又有甚麼益處呢？
For what does it matter to the Lord if you were blameless in your works? Or what profit is it that you make your way straight?
22:4
ἦ λόγον σου ποιούμενος ἐλέγξει σε καὶ συνεισελεύσεταί σοι εἰς κρίσιν
難道他是顧念你的話才責備你，與你一同進入審判嗎？
Is it because he takes account of you that he reproves you and enters into judgment with you?
22:5
πότερον οὐχ ἡ κακία σού ἐστιν πολλή ἀναρίθμητοι δέ σού εἰσιν αἱ ἁμαρτίαι
你的惡豈不是甚多嗎？你的罪也數不清。
Is not your wickedness great, and are not your sins beyond number?
22:6
ἠνεχύραζες δὲ τοὺς ἀδελφούς σου διὰ κενῆς ἀμφίασιν δὲ γυμνῶν ἀφείλου
你無故向弟兄取當頭，又剝去赤身之人的衣服。
You took pledges from your brothers for nothing, and stripped the clothing from the naked.
22:7
οὐδὲ ὕδωρ διψῶντας ἐπότισας ἀλλὰ πεινώντων ἐστέρησας ψωμόν
口渴的人，你沒有給他水喝；飢餓的人，你奪去他的一塊餅。
You did not give the thirsty water to drink, but withheld bread from the hungry.
22:8
ἐθαύμασας δέ τινων πρόσωπον ᾤκισας δὲ τοὺς ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς
你看某些人的情面，又叫人在地上安家。
You showed partiality to the faces of certain men, and settled some upon the land.
22:9
χήρας δὲ ἐξαπέστειλας κενάς ὀρφανοὺς δὲ ἐκάκωσας
你叫寡婦空手而去，又苦待孤兒。
You sent widows away empty and mistreated orphans.
22:10
τοιγαροῦν ἐκύκλωσάν σε παγίδες καὶ ἐσπούδασέν σε πόλεμος ἐξαίσιος
因此，網羅四面圍住你，非常的戰亂使你驚惶。
Therefore snares have encircled you, and an extraordinary war has thrown you into alarm.
22:11
τὸ φῶς σοι σκότος ἀπέβη κοιμηθέντα δὲ ὕδωρ σε ἐκάλυψεν
你的光變成黑暗；你躺臥的時候，水淹沒了你。
Your light has turned to darkness, and when you lay down, water covered you.
22:12
μὴ οὐχὶ ὁ τὰ ὑψηλὰ ναίων ἐφορᾷ τοὺς δὲ ὕβρει φερομένους ἐταπείνωσεν
那住在高處的豈不察看嗎？他使那狂傲行事的人降卑。
Does not he who dwells on high look down? And he has humbled those carried along in insolence.
22:13
καὶ εἶπας τί ἔγνω ὁ ἰσχυρός ἦ κατὰ τοῦ γνόφου κρινεῖ
你卻說：那大能者知道甚麼呢？他豈能透過幽暗施行審判嗎？
And you said, 'What does the Mighty One know? Will he judge through the thick gloom?'
22:14
νέφη ἀποκρυφὴ αὐτοῦ καὶ οὐχ ὁραθήσεται καὶ γῦρον οὐρανοῦ διαπορεύσεται
密雲是他的隱藏處，他不被看見；他周遊天的穹圓。
Clouds are his hiding place, and he will not be seen, and he traverses the circle of heaven.
22:15
μὴ τρίβον αἰώνιον φυλάξεις ἣν ἐπάτησαν ἄνδρες ἄδικοι
你豈要守住那古舊的路徑，就是不義之人所踏過的嗎？
Will you keep to the age-old path that unjust men have trodden?
22:16
οἳ συνελήμφθησαν ἄωροι ποταμὸς ἐπιρρέων οἱ θεμέλιοι αὐτῶν
他們未到時候就被取去，他們的根基被江河沖流。
They were seized before their time; a river flowed over their foundations.
22:17
οἱ λέγοντες κύριος τί ποιήσει ἡμῖν ἢ τί ἐπάξεται ἡμῖν ὁ παντοκράτωρ
他們說：主能把我們怎樣呢？全能者能向我們降下甚麼呢？
They who say, 'What will the Lord do to us? Or what will the Almighty bring upon us?'
22:18
ὃς δὲ ἐνέπλησεν τοὺς οἴκους αὐτῶν ἀγαθῶν βουλὴ δὲ ἀσεβῶν πόρρω ἀπ’ αὐτοῦ
他卻使他們的家充滿美物；不敬虔之人的謀算卻遠離他。
Yet it was he who filled their houses with good things; but the counsel of the ungodly is far from him.
22:19
ἰδόντες δίκαιοι ἐγέλασαν ἄμεμπτος δὲ ἐμυκτήρισεν
義人看見就發笑，無可指摘的人也嗤笑。
The righteous saw and laughed, and the blameless one mocked.
22:20
εἰ μὴ ἠφανίσθη ἡ ὑπόστασις αὐτῶν καὶ τὸ κατάλειμμα αὐτῶν καταφάγεται πῦρ
他們的家業豈不是已經消滅了嗎？他們所剩下的，火要吞吃。
Has not their substance been wiped out, and fire will devour what is left of them?
22:21
γενοῦ δὴ σκληρός ἐὰν ὑπομείνῃς εἶτ’ ὁ καρπός σου ἔσται ἐν ἀγαθοῖς
你要剛強；你若忍耐，你的果子就在福樂之中。
Be firm, then; if you endure, your fruit will be among good things.
22:22
ἔκλαβε δὲ ἐκ στόματος αὐτοῦ ἐξηγορίαν καὶ ἀνάλαβε τὰ ῥήματα αὐτοῦ ἐν καρδίᾳ σου
你要從他口中領受訓言，把他的話收在你心裡。
Receive instruction from his mouth, and lay up his words in your heart.
22:23
ἐὰν δὲ ἐπιστραφῇς καὶ ταπεινώσῃς σεαυτὸν ἔναντι κυρίου πόρρω ἐποίησας ἀπὸ διαίτης σου τὸ ἄδικον
你若回轉，在主面前自卑，並且使不義遠離你的居所，
And if you turn back and humble yourself before the Lord, and have put injustice far from your dwelling,
22:24
θήσῃ ἐπὶ χώματι ἐν πέτρᾳ καὶ ὡς πέτρᾳ χειμάρρους Ωφιρ
你必把它安放在塵土上、在磐石中，俄斐的溪流也如同磐石。
you will lay it on the dust in the rock, and the torrents of Ophir as a rock.
22:25
ἔσται οὖν σου ὁ παντοκράτωρ βοηθὸς ἀπὸ ἐχθρῶν καθαρὸν δὲ ἀποδώσει σε ὥσπερ ἀργύριον πεπυρωμένον
這樣，全能者必作你的幫助，使你脫離仇敵；他也要使你潔淨，如同煉過的銀子。
Then the Almighty will be your helper against enemies, and he will render you pure like silver refined in fire.
22:26
εἶτα παρρησιασθήσῃ ἔναντι κυρίου ἀναβλέψας εἰς τὸν οὐρανὸν ἱλαρῶς
那時你在主面前就坦然無懼，歡歡喜喜地仰望天。
Then you will speak boldly before the Lord, looking up to heaven with gladness.
22:27
εὐξαμένου δέ σου πρὸς αὐτὸν εἰσακούσεταί σου δώσει δέ σοι ἀποδοῦναι τὰς εὐχάς
你向他禱告，他就垂聽你，又使你得以還你的願。
When you pray to him, he will hear you, and will grant you to pay your vows.
22:28
ἀποκαταστήσει δέ σοι δίαιταν δικαιοσύνης ἐπὶ δὲ ὁδοῖς σου ἔσται φέγγος
他必為你重建公義的居所，在你的路上必有光輝。
He will restore to you a dwelling of righteousness, and on your ways there will be brightness.
22:29
ὅτι ἐταπείνωσεν αὐτόν καὶ ἐρεῖς ὑπερηφανεύσατο καὶ κύφοντα ὀφθαλμοῖς σώσει
因為他使人降卑；你要說：他曾狂傲。他卻拯救那垂目低頭的人。
For he has humbled him, and you will say, 'He was proud'; yet he saves the one whose eyes are cast down.
22:30
ῥύσεται ἀθῷον καὶ διασώθητι ἐν καθαραῖς χερσίν σου
他必搭救無辜的人；你也要因你手中潔淨而得救。
He will deliver the innocent; and be delivered by the cleanness of your hands.
