42:1
ἰδὼν δὲ Ιακωβ ὅτι ἔστιν πρᾶσις ἐν Αἰγύπτῳ εἶπεν τοῖς υἱοῖς αὐτοῦ ἵνα τί ῥᾳθυμεῖτε
雅各見埃及有糧出售，就對他的兒子們說：你們為甚麼懈怠呢？
And Jacob, seeing that there was grain for sale in Egypt, said to his sons, Why are you idle?
42:2
ἰδοὺ ἀκήκοα ὅτι ἔστιν σῖτος ἐν Αἰγύπτῳ κατάβητε ἐκεῖ καὶ πρίασθε ἡμῖν μικρὰ βρώματα ἵνα ζῶμεν καὶ μὴ ἀποθάνωμεν
看哪，我聽見埃及有五穀。你們下到那裡去，為我們買些糧食，使我們可以存活，不至於死。
Behold, I have heard that there is grain in Egypt. Go down there and buy us a little food, that we may live and not die.
42:3
κατέβησαν δὲ οἱ ἀδελφοὶ Ιωσηφ οἱ δέκα πρίασθαι σῖτον ἐξ Αἰγύπτου
於是約瑟的十個哥哥下去，要從埃及買五穀。
So Joseph's ten brothers went down to buy grain out of Egypt.
42:4
τὸν δὲ Βενιαμιν τὸν ἀδελφὸν Ιωσηφ οὐκ ἀπέστειλεν μετὰ τῶν ἀδελφῶν αὐτοῦ εἶπεν γάρ μήποτε συμβῇ αὐτῷ μαλακία
但約瑟的弟弟便雅憫，雅各沒有打發他與哥哥們同去，因為他說：恐怕他遭遇疾病。
But Benjamin, Joseph's brother, he did not send with his brothers, for he said, Lest sickness befall him.
42:5
ἦλθον δὲ οἱ υἱοὶ Ισραηλ ἀγοράζειν μετὰ τῶν ἐρχομένων ἦν γὰρ ὁ λιμὸς ἐν γῇ Χανααν
以色列的兒子們就同著那些來的人一起去糴糧，因為迦南地也有饑荒。
And the sons of Israel came to buy along with those who were coming, for the famine was in the land of Canaan.
42:6
Ιωσηφ δὲ ἦν ἄρχων τῆς γῆς οὗτος ἐπώλει παντὶ τῷ λαῷ τῆς γῆς ἐλθόντες δὲ οἱ ἀδελφοὶ Ιωσηφ προσεκύνησαν αὐτῷ ἐπὶ πρόσωπον ἐπὶ τὴν γῆν
約瑟是那地的掌權者，他賣糧給那地所有的百姓。約瑟的哥哥們來了，臉伏於地向他下拜。
And Joseph was ruler of the land; he was the one selling to all the people of the land. And Joseph's brothers came and did obeisance to him with their faces to the ground.
42:7
ἰδὼν δὲ Ιωσηφ τοὺς ἀδελφοὺς αὐτοῦ ἐπέγνω καὶ ἠλλοτριοῦτο ἀπ’ αὐτῶν καὶ ἐλάλησεν αὐτοῖς σκληρὰ καὶ εἶπεν αὐτοῖς πόθεν ἥκατε οἱ δὲ εἶπαν ἐκ γῆς Χανααν ἀγοράσαι βρώματα
約瑟看見他的哥哥們，就認出他們來，卻向他們裝作外人，嚴厲地對他們說話，問他們說：你們從哪裡來？他們說：從迦南地來買糧。
And Joseph, seeing his brothers, recognized them, but made himself a stranger to them and spoke harshly to them, and said to them, Where have you come from? And they said, From the land of Canaan, to buy food.
42:8
ἐπέγνω δὲ Ιωσηφ τοὺς ἀδελφοὺς αὐτοῦ αὐτοὶ δὲ οὐκ ἐπέγνωσαν αὐτόν
約瑟認出他的哥哥們，他們卻不認得他。
And Joseph recognized his brothers, but they did not recognize him.
42:9
καὶ ἐμνήσθη Ιωσηφ τῶν ἐνυπνίων ὧν εἶδεν αὐτός καὶ εἶπεν αὐτοῖς κατάσκοποί ἐστε κατανοῆσαι τὰ ἴχνη τῆς χώρας ἥκατε
約瑟想起他自己所作的那些夢，就對他們說：你們是奸細，你們來是要窺察這地的路徑。
And Joseph remembered the dreams which he himself had seen, and said to them, You are spies; you have come to observe the tracks of the country.
42:10
οἱ δὲ εἶπαν οὐχί κύριε οἱ παῖδές σου ἤλθομεν πρίασθαι βρώματα
他們說：不是的，我主；僕人們是來買糧的。
And they said, No, lord; your servants have come to buy food.
42:11
πάντες ἐσμὲν υἱοὶ ἑνὸς ἀνθρώπου εἰρηνικοί ἐσμεν οὐκ εἰσὶν οἱ παῖδές σου κατάσκοποι
我們都是一個人的兒子，我們是和平的人；僕人們並不是奸細。
We are all sons of one man; we are peaceable men; your servants are not spies.
42:12
εἶπεν δὲ αὐτοῖς οὐχί ἀλλὰ τὰ ἴχνη τῆς γῆς ἤλθατε ἰδεῖν
他對他們說：不然，你們來是要看這地的路徑。
And he said to them, No, but you came to see the tracks of the land.
42:13
οἱ δὲ εἶπαν δώδεκά ἐσμεν οἱ παῖδές σου ἀδελφοὶ ἐν γῇ Χανααν καὶ ἰδοὺ ὁ νεώτερος μετὰ τοῦ πατρὸς ἡμῶν σήμερον ὁ δὲ ἕτερος οὐχ ὑπάρχει
他們說：僕人們本是弟兄十二人，在迦南地；看哪，最小的今日與我們的父親同在，還有一個已經不在了。
And they said, We your servants are twelve brothers in the land of Canaan; and behold, the youngest is with our father today, but the other is no more.
42:14
εἶπεν δὲ αὐτοῖς Ιωσηφ τοῦτό ἐστιν ὃ εἴρηκα ὑμῖν λέγων ὅτι κατάσκοποί ἐστε
約瑟對他們說：這正是我對你們說過的，說你們是奸細。
And Joseph said to them, This is what I said to you, saying that you are spies.
42:15
ἐν τούτῳ φανεῖσθε νὴ τὴν ὑγίειαν Φαραω οὐ μὴ ἐξέλθητε ἐντεῦθεν ἐὰν μὴ ὁ ἀδελφὸς ὑμῶν ὁ νεώτερος ἔλθῃ ὧδε
你們要在這件事上顯明出來：指著法老的健康起誓，若你們最小的弟弟不到這裡來，你們斷不得離開此地。
By this you shall be made manifest: by the health of Pharaoh, you shall certainly not go out from here unless your youngest brother comes here.
42:16
ἀποστείλατε ἐξ ὑμῶν ἕνα καὶ λάβετε τὸν ἀδελφὸν ὑμῶν ὑμεῖς δὲ ἀπάχθητε ἕως τοῦ φανερὰ γενέσθαι τὰ ῥήματα ὑμῶν εἰ ἀληθεύετε ἢ οὔ εἰ δὲ μή νὴ τὴν ὑγίειαν Φαραω ἦ μὴν κατάσκοποί ἐστε
你們要打發你們中間的一個人去把你們的弟弟帶來；其餘的人要被拘押，等你們的話顯明出來，看你們是否說了實話。若不然，指著法老的健康起誓，你們真是奸細。
Send one of you and let him take your brother; but you yourselves be kept under guard until your words are made clear, whether you speak the truth or not. But if not, by the health of Pharaoh, surely you are spies.
42:17
καὶ ἔθετο αὐτοὺς ἐν φυλακῇ ἡμέρας τρεῖς
於是他把他們拘押在看守所裡三天。
And he put them in custody for three days.
42:18
εἶπεν δὲ αὐτοῖς τῇ ἡμέρᾳ τῇ τρίτῃ τοῦτο ποιήσατε καὶ ζήσεσθε τὸν θεὸν γὰρ ἐγὼ φοβοῦμαι
到第三天，他對他們說：你們這樣行就可以存活，因為我是敬畏神的。
And on the third day he said to them, Do this and you shall live, for I fear God.
42:19
εἰ εἰρηνικοί ἐστε ἀδελφὸς ὑμῶν εἷς κατασχεθήτω ἐν τῇ φυλακῇ αὐτοὶ δὲ βαδίσατε καὶ ἀπαγάγετε τὸν ἀγορασμὸν τῆς σιτοδοσίας ὑμῶν
你們若是和平的人，就留下你們弟兄中的一個，被拘押在看守所裡；你們其餘的人可以走，把你們所糴的糧運回去。
If you are peaceable men, let one brother of yours be detained in the prison; but you yourselves go and carry away the purchase of your grain supply.
42:20
καὶ τὸν ἀδελφὸν ὑμῶν τὸν νεώτερον ἀγάγετε πρός με καὶ πιστευθήσονται τὰ ῥήματα ὑμῶν εἰ δὲ μή ἀποθανεῖσθε ἐποίησαν δὲ οὕτως
把你們最小的弟弟帶到我這裡來，你們的話就得以證實，你們也不至於死。他們就這樣行了。
And bring your youngest brother to me, and your words will be believed, and you shall not die. And they did so.
42:21
καὶ εἶπεν ἕκαστος πρὸς τὸν ἀδελφὸν αὐτοῦ ναί ἐν ἁμαρτίᾳ γάρ ἐσμεν περὶ τοῦ ἀδελφοῦ ἡμῶν ὅτι ὑπερείδομεν τὴν θλῖψιν τῆς ψυχῆς αὐτοῦ ὅτε κατεδέετο ἡμῶν καὶ οὐκ εἰσηκούσαμεν αὐτοῦ ἕνεκεν τούτου ἐπῆλθεν ἐφ’ ἡμᾶς ἡ θλῖψις αὕτη
他們彼此對弟兄說：是的，我們在我們兄弟的事上實在有罪；他哀求我們的時候，我們漠視他心裡的苦楚，不肯聽他。因此這苦楚臨到我們身上。
And each said to his brother, Yes, we are in sin concerning our brother, because we disregarded the affliction of his soul when he begged us, and we did not listen to him. For this reason this affliction has come upon us.
42:22
ἀποκριθεὶς δὲ Ρουβην εἶπεν αὐτοῖς οὐκ ἐλάλησα ὑμῖν λέγων μὴ ἀδικήσητε τὸ παιδάριον καὶ οὐκ εἰσηκούσατέ μου καὶ ἰδοὺ τὸ αἷμα αὐτοῦ ἐκζητεῖται
流便回答他們說：我豈不是對你們說過，不可傷害那孩子麼？你們卻不肯聽我。看哪，如今他的血被追討了。
And Reuben answered and said to them, Did I not speak to you, saying, Do not wrong the boy? And you did not listen to me. And behold, his blood is now being required.
42:23
αὐτοὶ δὲ οὐκ ᾔδεισαν ὅτι ἀκούει Ιωσηφ ὁ γὰρ ἑρμηνευτὴς ἀνὰ μέσον αὐτῶν ἦν
他們卻不曉得約瑟聽得懂，因為在他們中間有傳話的人。
But they did not know that Joseph understood, for there was an interpreter between them.
42:24
ἀποστραφεὶς δὲ ἀπ’ αὐτῶν ἔκλαυσεν Ιωσηφ καὶ πάλιν προσῆλθεν πρὸς αὐτοὺς καὶ εἶπεν αὐτοῖς καὶ ἔλαβεν τὸν Συμεων ἀπ’ αὐτῶν καὶ ἔδησεν αὐτὸν ἐναντίον αὐτῶν
約瑟轉身離開他們哭了，又回到他們那裡對他們說話，並從他們中間取出西緬來，在他們眼前把他捆綁起來。
And Joseph turned away from them and wept; and he came back to them and spoke to them, and took Symeon from among them and bound him before their eyes.
42:25
ἐνετείλατο δὲ Ιωσηφ ἐμπλῆσαι τὰ ἀγγεῖα αὐτῶν σίτου καὶ ἀποδοῦναι τὸ ἀργύριον ἑκάστου εἰς τὸν σάκκον αὐτοῦ καὶ δοῦναι αὐτοῖς ἐπισιτισμὸν εἰς τὴν ὁδόν καὶ ἐγενήθη αὐτοῖς οὕτως
約瑟吩咐人把他們的器皿裝滿五穀，把各人的銀子歸還在各人的袋裡，又給他們路上用的食物。人就這樣為他們辦了。
And Joseph commanded that their vessels be filled with grain, and that each one's silver be returned into his sack, and that provisions for the journey be given them. And it was done for them so.
42:26
καὶ ἐπιθέντες τὸν σῖτον ἐπὶ τοὺς ὄνους αὐτῶν ἀπῆλθον ἐκεῖθεν
他們把五穀馱在驢上，就從那裡離開了。
And they loaded the grain on their donkeys and departed from there.
42:27
λύσας δὲ εἷς τὸν μάρσιππον αὐτοῦ δοῦναι χορτάσματα τοῖς ὄνοις αὐτοῦ οὗ κατέλυσαν εἶδεν τὸν δεσμὸν τοῦ ἀργυρίου αὐτοῦ καὶ ἦν ἐπάνω τοῦ στόματος τοῦ μαρσίππου
在他們住宿的地方，有一個人打開他的口袋要餵驢，就看見他的那包銀子，原來在口袋的袋口上面。
And one of them opened his bag to give fodder to his donkeys where they lodged, and saw the bundle of his silver; and it was on top of the mouth of the bag.
42:28
καὶ εἶπεν τοῖς ἀδελφοῖς αὐτοῦ ἀπεδόθη μοι τὸ ἀργύριον καὶ ἰδοὺ τοῦτο ἐν τῷ μαρσίππῳ μου καὶ ἐξέστη ἡ καρδία αὐτῶν καὶ ἐταράχθησαν πρὸς ἀλλήλους λέγοντες τί τοῦτο ἐποίησεν ὁ θεὸς ἡμῖν
他對他的弟兄們說：我的銀子歸還給我了，看哪，就在我的口袋裡。他們的心就驚駭，彼此惶恐說：神向我們作的這是甚麼事呢？
And he said to his brothers, My silver has been given back to me; and behold, it is here in my bag. And their heart was astonished, and they were troubled with one another, saying, What is this that God has done to us?
42:29
ἦλθον δὲ πρὸς Ιακωβ τὸν πατέρα αὐτῶν εἰς γῆν Χανααν καὶ ἀπήγγειλαν αὐτῷ πάντα τὰ συμβάντα αὐτοῖς λέγοντες
他們回到迦南地他們父親雅各那裡，把所遭遇的一切事都告訴他，說：
And they came to Jacob their father in the land of Canaan, and reported to him all that had happened to them, saying,
42:30
λελάληκεν ὁ ἄνθρωπος ὁ κύριος τῆς γῆς πρὸς ἡμᾶς σκληρὰ καὶ ἔθετο ἡμᾶς ἐν φυλακῇ ὡς κατασκοπεύοντας τὴν γῆν
那地的主人嚴厲地對我們說話，把我們當作窺探那地的人，拘押在看守所裡。
The man, the lord of the land, spoke harshly to us and put us in prison as men spying out the land.
42:31
εἴπαμεν δὲ αὐτῷ εἰρηνικοί ἐσμεν οὔκ ἐσμεν κατάσκοποι
我們對他說：我們是和平的人，並不是奸細。
And we said to him, We are peaceable men; we are not spies.
42:32
δώδεκα ἀδελφοί ἐσμεν υἱοὶ τοῦ πατρὸς ἡμῶν ὁ εἷς οὐχ ὑπάρχει ὁ δὲ μικρότερος μετὰ τοῦ πατρὸς ἡμῶν σήμερον ἐν γῇ Χανααν
我們本是弟兄十二人，都是我們父親的兒子；有一個已經不在了，最小的今日在迦南地與我們的父親同在。
We are twelve brothers, sons of our father; the one is no more, and the younger is with our father today in the land of Canaan.
42:33
εἶπεν δὲ ἡμῖν ὁ ἄνθρωπος ὁ κύριος τῆς γῆς ἐν τούτῳ γνώσομαι ὅτι εἰρηνικοί ἐστε ἀδελφὸν ἕνα ἄφετε ὧδε μετ’ ἐμοῦ τὸν δὲ ἀγορασμὸν τῆς σιτοδοσίας τοῦ οἴκου ὑμῶν λαβόντες ἀπέλθατε
那地的主人對我們說：我要憑這件事知道你們是和平的人：把你們的一個弟兄留在我這裡，帶著你們家中所糴的糧回去；
And the man, the lord of the land, said to us, By this I shall know that you are peaceable men: leave one brother here with me, and take the purchase of the grain supply for your household and go.
42:34
καὶ ἀγάγετε πρός με τὸν ἀδελφὸν ὑμῶν τὸν νεώτερον καὶ γνώσομαι ὅτι οὐ κατάσκοποί ἐστε ἀλλ’ ὅτι εἰρηνικοί ἐστε καὶ τὸν ἀδελφὸν ὑμῶν ἀποδώσω ὑμῖν καὶ τῇ γῇ ἐμπορεύεσθε
把你們最小的弟弟帶到我這裡來，我就知道你們不是奸細，乃是和平的人。我也必把你們的弟兄交還給你們，你們就可以在這地作買賣。
And bring your youngest brother to me, and I shall know that you are not spies but that you are peaceable men; and I will give your brother back to you, and you shall trade in the land.
42:35
ἐγένετο δὲ ἐν τῷ κατακενοῦν αὐτοὺς τοὺς σάκκους αὐτῶν καὶ ἦν ἑκάστου ὁ δεσμὸς τοῦ ἀργυρίου ἐν τῷ σάκκῳ αὐτῶν καὶ εἶδον τοὺς δεσμοὺς τοῦ ἀργυρίου αὐτῶν αὐτοὶ καὶ ὁ πατὴρ αὐτῶν καὶ ἐφοβήθησαν
他們倒空袋子的時候，各人的那包銀子都在各人的袋裡。他們和他們的父親看見那些銀包，就都害怕。
And it came to pass, as they were emptying their sacks, that each one's bundle of silver was in his sack. And when they and their father saw the bundles of their silver, they were afraid.
42:36
εἶπεν δὲ αὐτοῖς Ιακωβ ὁ πατὴρ αὐτῶν ἐμὲ ἠτεκνώσατε Ιωσηφ οὐκ ἔστιν Συμεων οὐκ ἔστιν καὶ τὸν Βενιαμιν λήμψεσθε ἐπ’ ἐμὲ ἐγένετο πάντα ταῦτα
他們的父親雅各對他們說：你們使我喪失兒子了：約瑟沒有了，西緬也沒有了，你們還要把便雅憫帶走；這一切都臨到我身上。
And Jacob their father said to them, You have bereaved me of my children: Joseph is no more, Symeon is no more, and you would take Benjamin. All these things have come upon me.
42:37
εἶπεν δὲ Ρουβην τῷ πατρὶ αὐτοῦ λέγων τοὺς δύο υἱούς μου ἀπόκτεινον ἐὰν μὴ ἀγάγω αὐτὸν πρὸς σέ δὸς αὐτὸν εἰς τὴν χεῖρά μου κἀγὼ ἀνάξω αὐτὸν πρὸς σέ
流便對他父親說：我若不把他帶回來給你，你可以殺我的兩個兒子。你只管把他交在我手裡，我必把他帶回來給你。
And Reuben said to his father, saying, Kill my two sons if I do not bring him back to you. Give him into my hand, and I will bring him back to you.
42:38
ὁ δὲ εἶπεν οὐ καταβήσεται ὁ υἱός μου μεθ’ ὑμῶν ὅτι ὁ ἀδελφὸς αὐτοῦ ἀπέθανεν καὶ αὐτὸς μόνος καταλέλειπται καὶ συμβήσεται αὐτὸν μαλακισθῆναι ἐν τῇ ὁδῷ ᾗ ἂν πορεύησθε καὶ κατάξετέ μου τὸ γῆρας μετὰ λύπης εἰς ᾅδου
雅各卻說：我的兒子不可與你們一同下去；因為他的哥哥死了，只剩下他一個。他若在你們所行的路上患病，你們就使我這白髮之年悲悲慘慘地下到陰間去。
But he said, My son shall not go down with you, for his brother is dead and he alone is left; and if he should fall sick on the road on which you go, you will bring down my old age with grief to Hades.
