大衛的詩，交與伶長。
To the end. A Psalm of David.
21:1
Domine, in virtute tua laetabitur rex, et super salutare tuum exsultabit vehementer.
耶和華啊，王必因你的能力歡喜； 因你的救恩，他的快樂何其大！
The king rejoices in your strength, Yahweh! How greatly he rejoices in your salvation!
21:2
Desiderium cordis ejus tribuisti ei, et voluntate labiorum ejus non fraudasti eum.
他心裏所願的，你已經賜給他； 他嘴唇所求的，你未嘗不應允。（細拉）
You have given him his heart’s desire, and have not withheld the request of his lips. Selah.
21:3
Quoniam praevenisti eum in benedictionibus dulcedinis ; posuisti in capite ejus coronam de lapide pretioso.
你以美福迎接他， 把精金的冠冕戴在他頭上。
For you meet him with the blessings of goodness. You set a crown of fine gold on his head.
21:4
Vitam petiit a te, et tribuisti ei longitudinem dierum, in saeculum, et in saeculum saeculi.
他向你求壽，你便賜給他， 就是日子長久，直到永遠。
He asked life of you and you gave it to him, even length of days forever and ever.
21:5
Magna est gloria ejus in salutari tuo ; gloriam et magnum decorem impones super eum.
他因你的救恩大有榮耀； 你又將尊榮威嚴加在他身上。
His glory is great in your salvation. You lay honor and majesty on him.
21:6
Quoniam dabis eum in benedictionem in saeculum saeculi ; laetificabis eum in gaudio cum vultu tuo.
你使他有洪福，直到永遠， 又使他在你面前歡喜快樂。
For you make him most blessed forever. You make him glad with joy in your presence.
21:7
Quoniam rex sperat in Domino, et in misericordia Altissimi non commovebitur.
王倚靠耶和華， 因至高者的慈愛必不搖動。
For the king trusts in Yahweh. Through the loving kindness of the Most High, he shall not be moved.
21:8
Inveniatur manus tua omnibus inimicis tuis ; dextera tua inveniat omnes qui te oderunt.
你的手要搜出你的一切仇敵； 你的右手要搜出那些恨你的人。
Your hand will find out all of your enemies. Your right hand will find out those who hate you.
21:9
Pones eos ut clibanum ignis in tempore vultus tui : Dominus in ira sua conturbabit eos, et devorabit eos ignis.
你發怒的時候，要使他們如在炎熱的火爐中。 耶和華要在他的震怒中吞滅他們； 那火要把他們燒盡了。
You will make them as a fiery furnace in the time of your anger. Yahweh will swallow them up in his wrath. The fire shall devour them.
21:10
Fructum eorum de terra perdes, et semen eorum a filiis hominum,
你必從世上滅絕他們的子孫 ， 從人間滅絕他們的後裔。
You will destroy their descendants from the earth, their posterity from among the children of men.
21:11
quoniam declinaverunt in te mala ; cogitaverunt consilia quae non potuerunt stabilire.
因為他們有意加害於你； 他們想出計謀，卻不能做成。
For they intended evil against you. They plotted evil against you which cannot succeed.
21:12
Quoniam pones eos dorsum ; in reliquiis tuis praeparabis vultum eorum.
你必使他們轉背逃跑， 向他們的臉搭箭在弦。
For you will make them turn their back, when you aim drawn bows at their face.
21:13
Exaltare, Domine, in virtute tua ; cantabimus et psallemus virtutes tuas.
耶和華啊，願你因自己的能力顯為至高！ 這樣，我們就唱詩，歌頌你的大能。
Be exalted, Yahweh, in your strength, so we will sing and praise your power.
