📖 This chapter exists in 3 other originals — side by side (Hebrew Old Testament, Vulgate, Ge'ez Bible)
ℹ️ This corpus has no verse-level morphological tagging. Lemmas come mainly from word-level tagging of other books in the same language (not from this verse), falling back to dictionary form-matching for the rest. Rare homographs can still be misread; verify against the original and a specialist lexicon where precision matters.
ℹ️ The Chinese and English alongside are this site's own translation, made directly from the original text on this page (not the CUV or the WEB, which follow the Masoretic Text and a different textual tradition).

Rejoice, O barren one who does not bear; break forth and shout, you who have no birth pangs; for the children of the desolate one are more than of her who has a husband. For the Lord has spoken.
Do not fear because you were put to shame, nor be abashed because you were reproached; for you shall forget your everlasting shame, and the reproach of your widowhood you shall not remember at all.
For it is the Lord who made you; Lord Sabaoth is his name. And the one who delivered you, he is the God of Israel; he shall be so called by all the earth.
This is to me as the water in the time of Noe: just as I swore to him at that time concerning the earth that I would not be angry with you again, nor in any threatening of you,
so, though the mountains be removed, your hills shall not be shaken; neither shall the mercy from me toward you fail, nor shall the covenant of your peace be removed at all. For the Lord has said: I am gracious to you.
Every corruptible weapon against you I will not prosper, and every voice that rises against you for judgment you shall overcome; and those who hold you guilty shall remain in it. This is the inheritance of those who serve the Lord, and you shall be righteous before me, says the Lord.
