ℹ️ This corpus has no verse-level morphological tagging. Lemmas come mainly from word-level tagging of other books in the same language (not from this verse), falling back to dictionary form-matching for the rest. Rare homographs can still be misread; verify against the original and a specialist lexicon where precision matters.
ℹ️ The Chinese and English alongside are this site's own translation, made directly from the original text on this page (not the CUV or the WEB, which follow the Masoretic Text and a different textual tradition).

14:1
And the Lord will have mercy on Iakob, and will yet choose Israel, and they shall rest on their own land; and the sojourner shall be joined to them, and shall be joined to the house of Iakob.
And the nations shall take them and bring them into their own place, and they shall inherit and be multiplied on the land of God for male and female slaves; and those who took them captive shall become captives, and those who lorded it over them shall be ruled over.
And in that day God shall give you rest from your pain and your rage and the hard slavery with which you served them.
And you shall take up this lament against the king of Babylon and say in that day: How the exactor has ceased, and the taskmaster has ceased!
God has broken the yoke of sinners, the yoke of rulers,
who struck a nation in wrath with an incurable blow, smiting a nation with a blow of wrath that did not spare.
He has rested, trusting; all the earth cries aloud with gladness.
And the trees of Lebanon rejoiced over you, and the cedar of Lebanon: Since you lay down to sleep, no one has come up to cut us down.
Hades below was embittered at meeting you; all the giants who ruled the earth were roused together for you, those who raised up from their thrones all the kings of the nations.
They shall all answer and say to you: You also have been taken as we were, and you have been reckoned among us.
Your glory has gone down to Hades, your great gladness; beneath you they shall spread rottenness, and your covering shall be a worm.
How has the daystar fallen from heaven, he who rises in the morning! He who sent to all the nations has been crushed to the ground.
But you said in your mind: I will ascend into heaven; above the stars of heaven I will set my throne; I will sit on a lofty mountain, upon the high mountains toward the north.
I will ascend above the clouds; I will be like the Most High.
But now you shall go down to Hades, and to the foundations of the earth.
Those who see you shall marvel at you and say: This is the man who provoked the earth, who shook kings,
who made the whole world a desert and pulled down its cities, who did not release those held in affliction.
All the kings of the nations lay down to sleep in honour, each man in his own house.
But you shall be flung out on the mountains like a loathsome corpse, among many dead who were pierced with swords, going down to Hades. As a garment soaked in blood will not be clean,
so neither shall you be clean, because you destroyed my land and slew my people. You shall not remain for all time, O evil seed.
Prepare your children to be slaughtered for the sins of their father, lest they rise up and inherit the land and fill the land with cities.
And I will rise up against them, says the Lord Sabaoth, and I will destroy their name and remnant and seed. Thus says the Lord.
And I will make Babylonia a desert, so that hedgehogs dwell there, and it shall come to nothing; and I will make it a pit of mire, for destruction.
Thus says the Lord Sabaoth: As I have spoken, so it shall be; and as I have purposed, so it shall stand:
萬軍之主如此說:我怎樣說了,事就怎樣成就;我怎樣定意,就怎樣立定;
14:25
to destroy the Assyrians from my land and from my mountains; and they shall be trampled underfoot, and their yoke shall be taken away from them, and their renown shall be taken from their shoulders.
This is the counsel that the Lord has purposed upon the whole world, and this is the uplifted hand upon all the nations of the world.
For what the holy God has purposed, who shall annul? And the uplifted hand, who shall turn it back?
In the year in which King Achaz died, this word came.
Do not rejoice, all you foreigners, because the yoke of him who struck you is broken; for from the seed of serpents shall come forth the offspring of asps, and their offspring shall come forth as flying serpents.
And the poor shall be fed through him, and poor men shall rest in peace; but he shall destroy your seed with famine, and shall destroy your remnant.
Wail, you gates of cities; let the troubled cities cry out, all you foreigners; for smoke is coming from the north, and there is none who can stand.
And what shall the kings of the nations answer? That the Lord has founded Sion, and through him the lowly of the people shall be saved.
