📖 This chapter exists in 3 other originals — side by side (Hebrew Old Testament, Vulgate, Ge'ez Bible)
ℹ️ This corpus has no verse-level morphological tagging. Lemmas come mainly from word-level tagging of other books in the same language (not from this verse), falling back to dictionary form-matching for the rest. Rare homographs can still be misread; verify against the original and a specialist lexicon where precision matters.
ℹ️ The Chinese and English alongside are this site's own translation, made directly from the original text on this page (not the CUV or the WEB, which follow the Masoretic Text and a different textual tradition).

See how the righteous one perished, and no one takes it to heart; and righteous men are taken away, and no one considers. For from the face of injustice the righteous one has been taken away.
你們看,義人死亡,無人放在心上;義人被除去,也無人留意;原來義人是被除去,脫離不義的面前。
57:2

His burial shall be in peace; he has been taken away from the midst.
In whom did you take your pleasure? Against whom did you open your mouth? And against whom did you let loose your tongue? Are you not children of destruction, a lawless seed?
That is your portion; this is your lot. And to them you poured out drink offerings, and to them you offered up sacrifices. Shall I then not be angry over these things?
And behind the doorposts of your door you set up your memorials. You thought that if you departed from me you would gain something more; you loved those who lay with you.
And you multiplied your whoring with them, and you made many those who were far from you; and you sent envoys beyond your borders, and you turned back and were brought low as far as Hades.
You grew weary with your many journeys, yet you did not say: I will stop exerting myself. Because you did these things, therefore you did not entreat me.
Whom did you dread and fear, that you lied to me and did not remember me, nor take me into your mind or into your heart? And I, seeing you, pass you by; and me you did not fear.
When you cry out, let them deliver you in your affliction. But the wind shall take all of these, and a storm shall carry them off; yet those who hold fast to me shall possess the land and shall inherit my holy mountain.
Thus says the Lord, the Most High, who dwells on high forever, whose name is Holy among the holy ones, the Lord Most High who rests among the holy ones, who gives patience to the faint-hearted and gives life to those who are broken in heart.
I will not take vengeance on you forever, nor will I be angry with you continually; for a spirit shall go out from me, and every breath I myself have made.
