ℹ️ This corpus has no morphological tagging. Glosses are matched by word form against a dictionary — a match does not prove it is the same word (an inflected form can coincide with another word’s lemma). Verify against the original and a specialist lexicon where precision matters.

Gregory to Paschasius, bishop of Naples. John, servant and steward of the lord Venantius, by an offered petition, at the request of his aforesaid lord, asks that leave be granted him, so that in his (that is, Saint Severinus') name an oratory built at his own expense may be solemnly consecrated in honour of the sanctuary of the blessed Severinus the confessor; and therefore, dearest brother, it befits you by our command to comply with the desires of the aforesaid, so that he may obtain the effect of his devotion in the consecration which he requests. Given in the month of February, in the fourth indiction.
