ℹ️ This corpus has no morphological tagging. Glosses are matched by word form against a dictionary — a match does not prove it is the same word (an inflected form can coincide with another word’s lemma). Verify against the original and a specialist lexicon where precision matters.

Gregory to Anthemius, subdeacon. We have ascertained that the vessels of the Church of Volturnum, which Constantius the defensor had taken, on account of the responsibility laid upon him, when that Church was destitute of clergy and bishop, have remained with his heir. And since we have learned that the glorious man Faustus, his son, hesitates to restore them without our consent, we have exhorted him by our letters that he ought to restore the vessels of the same Church to your experience without any doubt. And therefore let your experience receive those vessels under a receipt duly issued, and take care to hold them in full, and let the manner and quality of them be made known to us by report drawn up with all thoroughness.
