ℹ️ This corpus has no verse-level morphological tagging. Lemmas come mainly from word-level tagging of other books in the same language (not from this verse), falling back to dictionary form-matching for the rest. Rare homographs can still be misread; verify against the original and a specialist lexicon where precision matters.
ℹ️ The Chinese and English alongside are this site's own translation, made directly from the original text on this page (not the CUV or the WEB, which follow the Masoretic Text and a different textual tradition).

And Abraam said concerning Sarra his wife, She is my sister; for he was afraid to say, She is my wife, lest the men of the city should kill him because of her. And Abimelech king of Gerara sent and took Sarra.
And God came to Abimelech in a dream by night, and said, Behold, you are dying because of the woman whom you have taken; for she has lived with a husband.
And God said to him in the dream, I too knew that you did this with a pure heart, and I spared you from sinning against me; therefore I did not allow you to touch her.
Now then restore the woman to the man, for he is a prophet, and he shall pray for you, and you shall live. But if you do not restore her, know that you shall die, you and all that is yours.
And Abimelech called Abraam and said to him, What is this you have done to us? Have we sinned against you in anything, that you have brought upon me and upon my kingdom a great sin? You have done to me a deed that no one shall do.
And it came to pass, when God brought me out of my father's house, that I said to her, This is the righteousness you shall do for me: in every place where we come, say of me, He is my brother.
And Abimelech took a thousand didrachmas, and sheep and calves and menservants and maidservants, and gave them to Abraam, and restored to him Sarra his wife.
And to Sarra he said, Behold, I have given a thousand didrachmas to your brother; these shall be to you for the honour of your countenance, and to all the women with you; and in all things speak the truth.
