And the Lord said to Moses, “One more plague I will bring upon Pharaoh and upon Egypt, and after these things he will send you away from here. And when he sends you away, he will drive you out utterly, with everything.
Speak therefore secretly in the ears of the people, and let each man ask from his neighbour, and each woman from her neighbour, vessels of silver and of gold, and clothing.”
And the Lord gave his people favour before the Egyptians, and they lent to them. And the man Moses became exceedingly great before the Egyptians, and before Pharaoh, and before all his attendants.
and every firstborn in the land of Egypt shall die, from the firstborn of Pharaoh who sits upon the throne even to the firstborn of the servant girl at the mill, and to the firstborn of every animal.
But among all the sons of Israel not a dog shall growl with its tongue, from man to beast, so that you may know how marvellously the Lord makes a distinction between the Egyptians and Israel.
And all these servants of yours shall come down to me and bow before me, saying, ‘Go out, you and all your people whom you lead.’ And after these things I will go out.” And Moses went out from Pharaoh in anger.
And Moses and Aaron did all these signs and wonders in the land of Egypt before Pharaoh; but the Lord hardened Pharaoh’s heart, and he was not willing to send the sons of Israel out of the land of Egypt.
