9:1
ἡ σοφία ᾠκοδόμησεν ἑαυτῇ οἶκον καὶ ὑπήρεισεν στύλους ἑπτά
智慧為自己建造了房屋，又立起七根柱子支撐。
Wisdom has built herself a house, and has set up seven pillars as supports.
9:2
ἔσφαξεν τὰ ἑαυτῆς θύματα ἐκέρασεν εἰς κρατῆρα τὸν ἑαυτῆς οἶνον καὶ ἡτοιμάσατο τὴν ἑαυτῆς τράπεζαν
她宰了自己的牲畜，把自己的酒調在調酒缸裡，又擺設了自己的筵席。
She has slaughtered her own victims, she has mixed her own wine in a bowl, and she has prepared her own table.
9:3
ἀπέστειλεν τοὺς ἑαυτῆς δούλους συγκαλούσα μετὰ ὑψηλοῦ κηρύγματος ἐπὶ κρατῆρα λέγουσα
她打發自己的僕人，高聲宣告，招呼人到調酒缸那裡，說：
She has sent out her own servants, calling people together with a lofty proclamation to the wine bowl, saying:
9:4
ὅς ἐστιν ἄφρων ἐκκλινάτω πρός με καὶ τοῖς ἐνδεέσι φρενῶν εἶπεν
「誰是愚蒙的，可以轉到我這裡來。」她又對那些缺少心竅的人說：
“Whoever is foolish, let him turn aside to me.” And to those lacking sense she said:
9:5
ἔλθατε φάγετε τῶν ἐμῶν ἄρτων καὶ πίετε οἶνον ὃν ἐκέρασα ὑμῖν
「你們來，吃我的餅，喝我為你們調好的酒。
“Come, eat of my bread, and drink the wine which I have mixed for you.
9:6
ἀπολείπετε ἀφροσύνην καὶ ζήσεσθε καὶ ζητήσατε φρόνησιν ἵνα βιώσητε καὶ κατορθώσατε ἐν γνώσει σύνεσιν
你們要離棄愚昧，就必存活；要尋求明哲，使你們得以生存；又要藉知識使悟性正直。」
Forsake folly, and you shall live; and seek understanding, that you may live; and set your discernment straight by knowledge.”
9:7
ὁ παιδεύων κακοὺς λήμψεται ἑαυτῷ ἀτιμίαν ἐλέγχων δὲ τὸν ἀσεβῆ μωμήσεται ἑαυτόν
管教惡人的，必自取羞辱；責備不敬虔之人的，必自招毀謗。
He who instructs wicked men will get dishonour for himself, and he who reproves the impious will bring blame upon himself.
9:8
μὴ ἔλεγχε κακούς ἵνα μὴ μισῶσίν σε ἔλεγχε σοφόν καὶ ἀγαπήσει σε
不要責備惡人，免得他們恨你；要責備智慧人，他必愛你。
Do not reprove wicked men, lest they hate you; reprove a wise man, and he will love you.
9:9
δίδου σοφῷ ἀφορμήν καὶ σοφώτερος ἔσται γνώριζε δικαίῳ καὶ προσθήσει τοῦ δέχεσθαι
給智慧人機會，他就更有智慧；指教義人，他必更多領受。
Give a wise man an occasion, and he will be wiser; instruct a righteous man, and he will increase in receiving.
9:10
ἀρχὴ σοφίας φόβος κυρίου καὶ βουλὴ ἁγίων σύνεσις τὸ γὰρ γνῶναι νόμον διανοίας ἐστὶν ἀγαθῆς
敬畏主是智慧的開端，聖者的謀略就是悟性；因為認識律法是出於良善的心思。
The beginning of wisdom is the fear of the Lord, and the counsel of holy ones is understanding; for to know the law is the mark of a good mind.
9:11
τούτῳ γὰρ τῷ τρόπῳ πολὺν ζήσεις χρόνον καὶ προστεθήσεταί σοι ἔτη ζωῆς σου
因為你用這樣的方式，必活得長久，你生命的年日必加添給你。
For in this way you will live a long time, and years of your life will be added to you.
9:12
υἱέ ἐὰν σοφὸς γένῃ σεαυτῷ σοφὸς ἔσῃ καὶ τοῖς πλησίον ἐὰν δὲ κακὸς ἀποβῇς μόνος ἀναντλήσεις κακά ὃς ἐρείδεται ἐπὶ ψεύδεσιν οὗτος ποιμανεῖ ἀνέμους ὁ δ’ αὐτὸς διώξεται ὄρνεα πετόμενα ἀπέλιπεν γὰρ ὁδοὺς τοῦ ἑαυτοῦ ἀμπελῶνος τοὺς δὲ ἄξονας τοῦ ἰδίου γεωργίου πεπλάνηται διαπορεύεται δὲ δῑ ἀνύδρου ἐρήμου καὶ γῆν διατεταγμένην ἐν διψώδεσιν συνάγει δὲ χερσὶν ἀκαρπίαν
我兒，你若為自己成為智慧人，也必為鄰舍成為智慧人；你若變成惡人，就必獨自飲盡災禍。倚靠謊言的，這人是在牧養風；他也必追趕飛鳥；因為他離棄了自己葡萄園的道路，又迷失了自己田地的車軌；他走過無水的曠野，和分派在乾渴之地的土地，他兩手所收聚的只是無收成。
Son, if you become wise for yourself, you will be wise also for your neighbours; but if you turn out bad, you alone will drain the cup of evils. He who leans on falsehoods, this man shepherds winds, and this same man will chase flying birds; for he has abandoned the paths of his own vineyard, and has wandered from the tracks of his own farm; he travels through a waterless desert and a land allotted amid thirsty places, and with his hands he gathers barrenness.
9:13
γυνὴ ἄφρων καὶ θρασεῖα ἐνδεὴς ψωμοῦ γίνεται ἣ οὐκ ἐπίσταται αἰσχύνην
愚昧放肆的婦人，成了缺乏一塊餅的人，她不懂得甚麼是羞恥。
A foolish and bold woman comes to lack a morsel of bread, she who knows no shame.
9:14
ἐκάθισεν ἐπὶ θύραις τοῦ ἑαυτῆς οἴκου ἐπὶ δίφρου ἐμφανῶς ἐν πλατείαις
她坐在自己房屋的門口，公然坐在街市的座位上，
She has sat at the doors of her own house, on a seat, conspicuously in the broad streets,
9:15
προσκαλουμένη τοὺς παριόντας καὶ κατευθύνοντας ἐν ταῖς ὁδοῖς αὐτῶν
呼喚那些過路的人，就是在自己路上直行的人，
calling to those passing by and going straight on their ways:
9:16
ὅς ἐστιν ὑμῶν ἀφρονέστατος ἐκκλινάτω πρός με ἐνδεέσι δὲ φρονήσεως παρακελεύομαι λέγουσα
「你們中間誰是最愚蒙的，可以轉到我這裡來。」她又勸那些缺少明哲的人說：
“Whoever among you is most foolish, let him turn aside to me.” And to those lacking understanding she urges, saying:
9:17
ἄρτων κρυφίων ἡδέως ἅψασθε καὶ ὕδατος κλοπῆς γλυκεροῦ
「你們要歡然嘗那暗中的餅，和那偷來的甜水。」
“Touch with pleasure the hidden loaves and the sweet stolen water.”
9:18
ὁ δὲ οὐκ οἶδεν ὅτι γηγενεῖς παρ’ αὐτῇ ὄλλυνται καὶ ἐπὶ πέτευρον ᾅδου συναντᾷ ἀλλὰ ἀποπήδησον μὴ ἐγχρονίσῃς ἐν τῷ τόπῳ μηδὲ ἐπιστήσῃς τὸ σὸν ὄμμα πρὸς αὐτήν οὕτως γὰρ διαβήσῃ ὕδωρ ἀλλότριον καὶ ὑπερβήσῃ ποταμὸν ἀλλότριον ἀπὸ δὲ ὕδατος ἀλλοτρίου ἀπόσχου καὶ ἀπὸ πηγῆς ἀλλοτρίας μὴ πίῃς ἵνα πολὺν ζήσῃς χρόνον προστεθῇ δέ σοι ἔτη ζωῆς
他卻不知道，地上所生的人在她那裡滅亡，而他是在陰間的架板上與他們相會。你倒要跳開，不可在那地方逗留，也不可定睛看她；因為你這樣就必渡過外人的水，越過外人的河。你要遠離外人的水，也不可喝外人泉源的水，好使你活得長久，生命的年歲得以加添給你。
But he does not know that earth-born men perish beside her, and that he meets them on the plank of Hades. But leap away, do not linger in that place, nor fix your eye upon her; for in this way you will cross over strange water and pass over a strange river. Keep away from strange water, and do not drink from a strange spring, so that you may live a long time and years of life may be added to you.
