τοὺς ἐμοὺς λόγους υἱέ φοβήθητι καὶ δεξάμενος αὐτοὺς μετανόει τάδε λέγει ὁ ἀνὴρ τοῖς πιστεύουσιν θεῷ καὶ παύομαι
我兒,要敬畏我的話語,領受了就當悔改。這人向信神的人如此說,然後我就止住了。
My son, fear my words, and having received them, repent. Thus says the man to those who believe God, and then I cease.
30:2▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ἀφρονέστατος γάρ εἰμι πάντων ἀνθρώπων καὶ φρόνησις ἀνθρώπων οὐκ ἔστιν ἐν ἐμοί
因為我是所有人中最愚昧的,人的悟性也不在我裡面。
For I am the most foolish of all men, and the understanding of men is not in me.
30:3▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
θεὸς δεδίδαχέν με σοφίαν καὶ γνῶσιν ἁγίων ἔγνωκα
神已教導我智慧,我也認識了聖者的知識。
God has taught me wisdom, and I have come to know the knowledge of the holy ones.
30:4▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
τίς ἀνέβη εἰς τὸν οὐρανὸν καὶ κατέβη τίς συνήγαγεν ἀνέμους ἐν κόλπῳ τίς συνέστρεψεν ὕδωρ ἐν ἱματίῳ τίς ἐκράτησεν πάντων τῶν ἄκρων τῆς γῆς τί ὄνομα αὐτῷ ἢ τί ὄνομα τοῖς τέκνοις αὐτοῦ ἵνα γνῷς
誰升上了天又降下來?誰把風聚在懷裡?誰把水裹在衣服裡?誰掌握了地的一切邊界?他的名字是甚麼?他兒女的名字又是甚麼?好叫你知道。
Who went up into heaven and came down? Who gathered the winds in his bosom? Who wrapped up water in a garment? Who took hold of all the ends of the earth? What is his name, or what is the name of his children, that you may know?
30:5▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
πάντες λόγοι θεοῦ πεπυρωμένοι ὑπερασπίζει δὲ αὐτὸς τῶν εὐλαβουμένων αὐτόν
神的話語都是經火煉淨的;他親自作敬畏他之人的盾牌。
All the words of God are refined by fire, and he himself is a shield to those who reverence him.
30:6▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
μὴ προσθῇς τοῖς λόγοις αὐτοῦ ἵνα μὴ ἐλέγξῃ σε καὶ ψευδὴς γένῃ
不可加添他的話語,免得他責備你,你就成了說謊的。
Do not add to his words, lest he reprove you and you become a liar.
30:7▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
δύο αἰτοῦμαι παρὰ σοῦ μὴ ἀφέλῃς μου χάριν πρὸ τοῦ ἀποθανεῖν με
我向你求兩件事,在我死之前不要奪去我的恩惠。
Two things I ask of you: do not take away my favour before I die.
30:8▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
μάταιον λόγον καὶ ψευδῆ μακράν μου ποίησον πλοῦτον δὲ καὶ πενίαν μή μοι δῷς σύνταξον δέ μοι τὰ δέοντα καὶ τὰ αὐτάρκη
求你使虛妄和虛謊的言語遠離我;也不要把富足或貧窮給我,只要把必需的和足夠的分配給我。
Put vain and false speech far from me; and give me neither riches nor poverty, but appoint for me what is needful and what is sufficient.
30:9▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ἵνα μὴ πλησθεὶς ψευδὴς γένωμαι καὶ εἴπω τίς με ὁρᾷ ἢ πενηθεὶς κλέψω καὶ ὀμόσω τὸ ὄνομα τοῦ θεοῦ
免得我飽足了就成為說謊的,說:「誰看見我呢?」或是貧窮了就偷竊,並指著神的名起誓。
lest, being filled, I become a liar and say, 'Who sees me?' or, being made poor, I steal and swear by the name of God.
30:10▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
μὴ παραδῷς οἰκέτην εἰς χεῖρας δεσπότου μήποτε καταράσηταί σε καὶ ἀφανισθῇς
不要把家僕交在主人手裡,恐怕他咒詛你,你就被滅絕。
Do not hand over a household servant into the hands of his master, lest he curse you and you be wiped out.
30:11▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ἔκγονον κακὸν πατέρα καταρᾶται τὴν δὲ μητέρα οὐκ εὐλογεῖ
邪惡的後裔咒詛父親,也不祝福母親。
An evil offspring curses his father and does not bless his mother.
30:12▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ἔκγονον κακὸν δίκαιον ἑαυτὸν κρίνει τὴν δὲ ἔξοδον αὐτοῦ οὐκ ἀπένιψεν
邪惡的後裔自以為義,卻未曾洗淨自己所排出的。
An evil offspring judges himself righteous, yet has not washed his own outgoing.
30:13▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ἔκγονον κακὸν ὑψηλοὺς ὀφθαλμοὺς ἔχει τοῖς δὲ βλεφάροις αὐτοῦ ἐπαίρεται
邪惡的後裔眼目高傲,又用眼皮高抬自己。
An evil offspring has lofty eyes, and lifts himself up with his eyelids.

ἔκγονον κακὸν μαχαίρας τοὺς ὀδόντας ἔχει καὶ τὰς μύλας τομίδας ὥστε ἀναλίσκειν καὶ κατεσθίειν τοὺς ταπεινοὺς ἀπὸ τῆς γῆς καὶ τοὺς πένητας αὐτῶν ἐξ ἀνθρώπων
邪惡的後裔以刀劍為牙齒,以利刃為臼齒,為要吞滅、吃盡地上卑微的人,以及在人中間那些窮乏的人。
An evil offspring has swords for teeth and cutters for molars, so as to consume and devour the lowly from the earth, and the needy among them from among men.
30:15▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
τῇ βδέλλῃ τρεῖς θυγατέρες ἦσαν ἀγαπήσει ἀγαπώμεναι καὶ αἱ τρεῖς αὗται οὐκ ἐνεπίμπλασαν αὐτήν καὶ ἡ τετάρτη οὐκ ἠρκέσθη εἰπεῖν ἱκανόν
水蛭有三個女兒,是牠所深愛的;這三個都不能使牠滿足,第四個也不肯說「夠了」。
The leech had three daughters, dearly beloved; and these three did not fill her, and the fourth was not content to say, 'Enough.'
30:16▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ᾅδης καὶ ἔρως γυναικὸς καὶ τάρταρος καὶ γῆ οὐκ ἐμπιπλαμένη ὕδατος καὶ ὕδωρ καὶ πῦρ οὐ μὴ εἴπωσιν ἀρκεῖ
陰間、婦人的愛慾、塔耳塔羅深淵,以及不被水充滿的地;還有水和火,牠們絕不說「夠了」。
Hades, and a woman's love, and Tartarus, and earth not filled with water; and water and fire—they will never say, 'It is enough.'
30:17▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ὀφθαλμὸν καταγελῶντα πατρὸς καὶ ἀτιμάζοντα γῆρας μητρός ἐκκόψαισαν αὐτὸν κόρακες ἐκ τῶν φαράγγων καὶ καταφάγοισαν αὐτὸν νεοσσοὶ ἀετῶν
那譏笑父親、輕看母親年老的眼睛,願谷中的烏鴉啄出它來,願鷹的雛兒把它吃盡。
The eye that mocks a father and dishonours a mother's old age—may the ravens from the ravines pluck it out, and may the young of the eagles devour it.
30:18▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
τρία δέ ἐστιν ἀδύνατά μοι νοῆσαι καὶ τὸ τέταρτον οὐκ ἐπιγινώσκω
有三樣是我所不能明白的,還有第四樣是我所不認識的:
There are three things impossible for me to understand, and the fourth I do not know:
30:19▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ἴχνη ἀετοῦ πετομένου καὶ ὁδοὺς ὄφεως ἐπὶ πέτρας καὶ τρίβους νηὸς ποντοπορούσης καὶ ὁδοὺς ἀνδρὸς ἐν νεότητι
飛翔之鷹的蹤跡,蛇在磐石上的道路,渡海之船的路徑,以及人在年少時的道路。
the tracks of a flying eagle, and the ways of a serpent on a rock, and the paths of a ship crossing the sea, and the ways of a man in his youth.
30:20▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
τοιαύτη ὁδὸς γυναικὸς μοιχαλίδος ἥ ὅταν πράξῃ ἀπονιψαμένη οὐδέν φησιν πεπραχέναι ἄτοπον
淫婦的道路也是這樣:她行了事以後就把自己洗淨,說自己沒有做過甚麼不當的事。
Such is the way of an adulterous woman: when she has done the deed, she washes herself and says she has done nothing amiss.
30:21▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
διὰ τριῶν σείεται ἡ γῆ τὸ δὲ τέταρτον οὐ δύναται φέρειν
地因三樣事震動,還有第四樣是牠所不能承擔的:
By three things the earth is shaken, and the fourth it cannot bear:
30:22▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ἐὰν οἰκέτης βασιλεύσῃ καὶ ἄφρων πλησθῇ σιτίων
若是家僕作王,若是愚昧人飽足食物,
if a household servant becomes king, and if a fool is filled with food,
30:23▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
καὶ οἰκέτις ἐὰν ἐκβάλῃ τὴν ἑαυτῆς κυρίαν καὶ μισητὴ γυνὴ ἐὰν τύχῃ ἀνδρὸς ἀγαθοῦ
若是婢女趕出自己的女主人,若是可憎的婦人得著好丈夫。
and if a maidservant casts out her own mistress, and if a hateful woman obtains a good husband.
30:24▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
τέσσαρα δέ ἐστιν ἐλάχιστα ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς ταῦτα δέ ἐστιν σοφώτερα τῶν σοφῶν
地上有四樣是最微小的,牠們卻比智慧人更有智慧:
There are four things that are least upon the earth, yet these are wiser than the wise:
30:25▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
οἱ μύρμηκες οἷς μὴ ἔστιν ἰσχὺς καὶ ἑτοιμάζονται θέρους τὴν τροφήν
螞蟻是沒有力量的,卻在夏天預備食物;
the ants, which have no strength, and yet prepare their food in summer;
30:26▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
καὶ οἱ χοιρογρύλλιοι ἔθνος οὐκ ἰσχυρόν οἳ ἐποιήσαντο ἐν πέτραις τοὺς ἑαυτῶν οἴκους
岩貍是不強壯的族類,卻在磐石中為自己造了房屋;
and the rock badgers, a nation not strong, which made their houses among the rocks;
30:27▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ἀβασίλευτόν ἐστιν ἡ ἀκρὶς καὶ ἐκστρατεύει ἀφ’ ἑνὸς κελεύσματος εὐτάκτως
蝗蟲沒有君王,卻聽一聲號令就整齊地出隊;
the locust is without a king, and yet it marches out in good order at a single command;
30:28▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
καὶ καλαβώτης χερσὶν ἐρειδόμενος καὶ εὐάλωτος ὢν κατοικεῖ ἐν ὀχυρώμασιν βασιλέως
壁虎用手攀附,雖然容易被捉住,卻住在王的堅固營壘中。
and the lizard, supporting itself with its hands and easily caught, dwells in the strongholds of a king.
30:29▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
τρία δέ ἐστιν ἃ εὐόδως πορεύεται καὶ τὸ τέταρτον ὃ καλῶς διαβαίνει
有三樣是步履穩健的,還有第四樣行走得美好:
There are three things that go along well, and a fourth that passes by handsomely:
30:30▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
σκύμνος λέοντος ἰσχυρότερος κτηνῶν ὃς οὐκ ἀποστρέφεται οὐδὲ καταπτήσσει κτῆνος
獅子的幼獅比走獸更強壯,牠不轉身退去,也不在任何走獸面前畏縮;
a lion's cub, stronger than the beasts, which does not turn away nor cower before any beast;
30:31▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
καὶ ἀλέκτωρ ἐμπεριπατῶν θηλείαις εὔψυχος καὶ τράγος ἡγούμενος αἰπολίου καὶ βασιλεὺς δημηγορῶν ἐν ἔθνει
又有公雞昂然在母雞中間走動,還有領著羊群的公山羊,以及在邦國中向眾人發言的君王。
and a cock strutting courageously among the hens; and a he-goat leading the flock of goats; and a king making a public speech among his nation.
30:32▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ἐὰν πρόῃ σεαυτὸν εἰς εὐφροσύνην καὶ ἐκτείνῃς τὴν χεῖρά σου μετὰ μάχης ἀτιμασθήσῃ
你若放縱自己去尋歡樂,又在爭鬥中伸出你的手,就必受羞辱。
If you give yourself over to merriment and stretch out your hand in a fight, you will be dishonoured.
30:33▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ἄμελγε γάλα καὶ ἔσται βούτυρον ἐὰν δὲ ἐκπιέζῃς μυκτῆρας ἐξελεύσεται αἷμα ἐὰν δὲ ἐξέλκῃς λόγους ἐξελεύσονται κρίσεις καὶ μάχαι
擠奶就有奶油;你若擠壓鼻孔,就有血流出來;你若硬拉出言語,就有爭訟和爭鬥出來。
Milk milk and there will be butter; but if you squeeze the nostrils, blood will come out; and if you drag out words, lawsuits and fights will come out.
