申命記 第 18 章

The priests, the Levites, the whole tribe of Levi, shall have no portion nor allotment with Israel; the offerings by fire of the Lord are their allotment, they shall eat them.

But they shall have no allotment among their brothers; the Lord himself is his allotment, just as he said to him.

And this is the ordinance of the priests, the things from the people, from those who sacrifice the sacrifices, whether a calf or a sheep: he shall give to the priest the shoulder and the jaws and the stomach.

And the firstfruits of your grain and of your wine and of your oil, and the firstfruits of the shearing of your sheep, you shall give to him.

For the Lord your God chose him out of all your tribes to stand before the Lord your God, to minister and to bless in his name, he and his sons among the sons of Israel.

But if the Levite comes from one of your cities, from all the sons of Israel where he sojourns, according as his soul desires, to the place which the Lord may choose,

then he shall minister in the name of the Lord his God, like all his brothers the Levites who stand there before the Lord.

He shall eat a portion apportioned to him, apart from the sale according to ancestral family.

When you enter into the land which the Lord your God gives you, you shall not learn to do according to the abominations of those nations.

There shall not be found among you anyone who purifies his son or his daughter in fire, one who practices divination, one who uses omens and augury, a sorcerer,

one who chants an incantation, a ventriloquist medium and an observer of portents, one who inquires of the dead.

For everyone who does these things is an abomination to the Lord your God; for because of these abominations the Lord will utterly destroy them from before you.

You shall be perfect before the Lord your God.

For these nations, whom you are dispossessing, listen to omens and divinations; but to you the Lord your God has not given so.

The Lord your God will raise up for you a prophet from among your brothers like me; him you shall hear.

according to all that you asked of the Lord your God at Choreb on the day of the assembly, saying: Let us not again hear the voice of the Lord our God, and let us not see this great fire any more, lest we die.

And the Lord said to me: Rightly have they spoken all that they spoke.

I will raise up for them a prophet from among their brothers like you, and I will put my word in his mouth, and he shall speak to them according to all that I command him.

And the man who does not listen to whatever the prophet speaks in my name, I will exact justice from him.

But the prophet who acts impiously by speaking in my name a word which I did not command him to speak, and whoever speaks in the name of other gods, that prophet shall die.

But if you say in your heart: How shall we know the word which the Lord has not spoken?

Whatever the prophet speaks in the name of the Lord, and the word does not come to pass and does not happen, this is the word which the Lord has not spoken; that prophet has spoken in impiety, you shall not spare him.
