ὁ ἀγαπῶν παιδείαν ἀγαπᾷ αἴσθησιν ὁ δὲ μισῶν ἐλέγχους ἄφρων
He who loves instruction loves perception, but he who hates reproofs is foolish.
喜愛管教的,就是喜愛知覺;恨惡責備的,是愚昧人。

κρείσσων ὁ εὑρὼν χάριν παρὰ κυρίῳ ἀνὴρ δὲ παράνομος παρασιωπηθήσεται
Better is the one who has found favour with the Lord, but a lawless man will be passed over in silence.
在主那裡蒙恩的人更為美好,不法的人卻要被默然撇下。

οὐ κατορθώσει ἄνθρωπος ἐξ ἀνόμου αἱ δὲ ῥίζαι τῶν δικαίων οὐκ ἐξαρθήσονται
A person will not prosper out of lawlessness, but the roots of the righteous will not be removed.
人靠不法不能得亨通,義人的根卻不被拔除。

γυνὴ ἀνδρεία στέφανος τῷ ἀνδρὶ αὐτῆς ὥσπερ δὲ ἐν ξύλῳ σκώληξ οὕτως ἄνδρα ἀπόλλυσιν γυνὴ κακοποιός
A courageous wife is a crown to her husband, but as a worm in wood, so an evil-doing wife destroys her husband.
勇毅的婦人是丈夫的冠冕;正如蟲在木頭裡,行惡的婦人也照樣毀壞丈夫。

λογισμοὶ δικαίων κρίματα κυβερνῶσιν δὲ ἀσεβεῖς δόλους
The thoughts of the righteous are judgements, but the impious steer deceits.
義人的思念是公正的判斷,不敬虔的人卻操縱詭詐。
12:6▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
λόγοι ἀσεβῶν δόλιοι στόμα δὲ ὀρθῶν ῥύσεται αὐτούς
The words of the impious are deceitful, but the mouth of the upright will deliver them.
不敬虔之人的言語滿是詭詐,正直人的口卻搭救他們。

οὗ ἐὰν στραφῇ ἀσεβὴς ἀφανίζεται οἶκοι δὲ δικαίων παραμένουσιν
Wherever the impious turns, he vanishes, but the houses of the righteous remain.
不敬虔的人無論轉到哪裡都要消滅,義人的家卻長存。

στόμα συνετοῦ ἐγκωμιάζεται ὑπὸ ἀνδρός νωθροκάρδιος δὲ μυκτηρίζεται
The mouth of the intelligent is praised by people, but the dull-hearted is sneered at.
通達人的口被人稱讚,心思遲鈍的卻被人譏諷。

κρείσσων ἀνὴρ ἐν ἀτιμίᾳ δουλεύων ἑαυτῷ ἢ τιμὴν ἑαυτῷ περιτιθεὶς καὶ προσδεόμενος ἄρτου
Better is a man in dishonour who serves himself than one who puts honour on himself and lacks bread.
人在卑賤中服事自己,強過自加尊榮卻缺乏食物。

δίκαιος οἰκτίρει ψυχὰς κτηνῶν αὐτοῦ τὰ δὲ σπλάγχνα τῶν ἀσεβῶν ἀνελεήμονα
A righteous man has compassion on the lives of his livestock, but the inward parts of the impious are merciless.
義人顧惜自己牲畜的性命,不敬虔之人的心腸卻沒有憐憫。

ὁ ἐργαζόμενος τὴν ἑαυτοῦ γῆν ἐμπλησθήσεται ἄρτων οἱ δὲ διώκοντες μάταια ἐνδεεῖς φρενῶν ὅς ἐστιν ἡδὺς ἐν οἴνων διατριβαῖς ἐν τοῖς ἑαυτοῦ ὀχυρώμασιν καταλείψει ἀτιμίαν
He who works his own land will be filled with bread, but those who chase vain things lack sense. Whoever takes pleasure in spending time over wine will leave dishonour in his own strongholds.
耕種自己土地的,必有充足的食物;追逐虛空之事的,卻是缺少心竅。以耽於酒筵為樂的人,必在自己的堡壘中留下羞辱。

ἐπιθυμίαι ἀσεβῶν κακαί αἱ δὲ ῥίζαι τῶν εὐσεβῶν ἐν ὀχυρώμασιν
The desires of the impious are evil, but the roots of the godly are in strongholds.
不敬虔之人的慾望是惡的,敬虔人的根卻在堅固的保障中。

δῑ ἁμαρτίαν χειλέων ἐμπίπτει εἰς παγίδας ἁμαρτωλός ἐκφεύγει δὲ ἐξ αὐτῶν δίκαιος ὁ βλέπων λεῖα ἐλεηθήσεται ὁ δὲ συναντῶν ἐν πύλαις ἐκθλίψει ψυχάς
Because of the sin of his lips a sinner falls into snares, but the righteous escapes from them. He who looks gently will be shown mercy, but he who confronts people in the gates will crush souls.
罪人因嘴唇的罪陷入網羅,義人卻從其中逃脫。目光溫和的必蒙憐憫,在城門口與人衝突的卻要苦害人的性命。

ἀπὸ καρπῶν στόματος ψυχὴ ἀνδρὸς πλησθήσεται ἀγαθῶν ἀνταπόδομα δὲ χειλέων αὐτοῦ δοθήσεται αὐτῷ
From the fruits of his mouth a man's soul will be filled with good things, and the recompense of his lips will be given to him.
人的魂必因口中的果子飽嘗美物,他嘴唇的報應也必歸給他。

ὁδοὶ ἀφρόνων ὀρθαὶ ἐνώπιον αὐτῶν εἰσακούει δὲ συμβουλίας σοφός
The ways of fools are right in their own eyes, but the wise listens to advice.
愚昧人的道路在自己眼中是正直的,智慧人卻肯聽勸告。

ἄφρων αὐθημερὸν ἐξαγγέλλει ὀργὴν αὐτοῦ κρύπτει δὲ τὴν ἑαυτοῦ ἀτιμίαν πανοῦργος
A fool announces his anger the same day, but a shrewd man conceals his own disgrace.
愚昧人當天就發洩自己的怒氣,精明人卻隱藏自己的羞辱。
12:17▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ἐπιδεικνυμένην πίστιν ἀπαγγέλλει δίκαιος ὁ δὲ μάρτυς τῶν ἀδίκων δόλιος
A righteous man declares the faith that is evident, but the witness of the unjust is deceitful.
義人所陳述的是顯明可信的,不義之人的見證卻是詭詐的。

εἰσὶν οἳ λέγοντες τιτρώσκουσιν μαχαίρᾳ γλῶσσαι δὲ σοφῶν ἰῶνται
There are those who in speaking wound like a sword, but the tongues of the wise bring healing.
有人說話如刀刺人,智慧人的舌頭卻能醫治。
12:19▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
χείλη ἀληθινὰ κατορθοῖ μαρτυρίαν μάρτυς δὲ ταχὺς γλῶσσαν ἔχει ἄδικον
Truthful lips make testimony straight, but a hasty witness has an unjust tongue.
誠實的嘴唇使見證正直,性急的見證人卻有不義的舌頭。
12:20▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
δόλος ἐν καρδίᾳ τεκταινομένου κακά οἱ δὲ βουλόμενοι εἰρήνην εὐφρανθήσονται
Deceit is in the heart of him who devises evils, but those who desire peace will rejoice.
圖謀惡事之人的心中有詭詐,願意和睦的人卻必歡喜。
12:21▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
οὐκ ἀρέσει τῷ δικαίῳ οὐδὲν ἄδικον οἱ δὲ ἀσεβεῖς πλησθήσονται κακῶν
Nothing unjust will please the righteous, but the impious will be filled with evils.
義人絕不喜歡任何不義的事,不敬虔的人卻要飽嘗禍患。
12:22▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
βδέλυγμα κυρίῳ χείλη ψευδῆ ὁ δὲ ποιῶν πίστεις δεκτὸς παρ’ αὐτῷ
Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord, but he who acts faithfully is acceptable to him.
說謊的嘴唇是主所憎惡的,行事忠信的卻蒙他悅納。
12:23▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ἀνὴρ συνετὸς θρόνος αἰσθήσεως καρδία δὲ ἀφρόνων συναντήσεται ἀραῖς
An intelligent man is a throne of perception, but the heart of fools will meet with curses.
通達人是知覺的寶座,愚昧人的心卻要遇見咒詛。
12:24▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
χεὶρ ἐκλεκτῶν κρατήσει εὐχερῶς δόλιοι δὲ ἔσονται εἰς προνομήν
The hand of the chosen will rule with ease, but the deceitful will become plunder.
精選之人的手必輕易掌權,詭詐的人卻要成為掠物。
12:25▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
φοβερὸς λόγος καρδίαν ταράσσει ἀνδρὸς δικαίου ἀγγελία δὲ ἀγαθὴ εὐφραίνει αὐτόν
A frightening word troubles the heart of a righteous man, but good news gladdens him.
可怕的話攪擾義人的心,好消息卻使他歡喜。
12:26▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ἐπιγνώμων δίκαιος ἑαυτοῦ φίλος ἔσται αἱ δὲ γνῶμαι τῶν ἀσεβῶν ἀνεπιεικεῖς ἁμαρτάνοντας καταδιώξεται κακά ἡ δὲ ὁδὸς τῶν ἀσεβῶν πλανήσει αὐτούς
A discerning righteous man will be a friend to himself, but the opinions of the impious are unfair. Evils will pursue those who sin, and the way of the impious will lead them astray.
有見識的義人必作自己的朋友,不敬虔之人的主張卻不公平。禍患必追趕犯罪的人,不敬虔之人的道路必使他們走迷。
12:27▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
οὐκ ἐπιτεύξεται δόλιος θήρας κτῆμα δὲ τίμιον ἀνὴρ καθαρός
A deceitful man will not obtain game, but a pure man is a precious possession.
詭詐的人打不到獵物,清潔的人卻是寶貴的產業。
12:28▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ἐν ὁδοῖς δικαιοσύνης ζωή ὁδοὶ δὲ μνησικάκων εἰς θάνατον
Life is in the ways of righteousness, but the ways of the vengeful lead to death.
生命在公義的道路上,懷恨記仇之人的道路卻通向死亡。
