ℹ️ This corpus has no verse-level morphological tagging . Lemmas come mainly from word-level tagging of other books in the same language (not from this verse), falling back to dictionary form-matching for the rest. Rare homographs can still be misread; verify against the original and a specialist lexicon where precision matters.
ℹ️ The Chinese and English alongside are this site's own translation , made directly from the original text on this page (not the CUV or the WEB, which follow the Masoretic Text and a different textual tradition).

A king's threat differs in nothing from a lion's rage, and he who provokes him sins against his own soul.

Who will boast of having a pure heart, or who will speak out boldly that he is clean from sins? As for one who speaks evil of father or mother, his lamp will be put out, and the pupils of his eyes will see darkness. A portion hastily snatched at the first will not be blessed at the last. Do not say, "I will take vengeance on my enemy," but wait for the Lord, that he may help you.

And he who does these things will be tripped up in his practices; a young man who keeps company with a holy man—his way also is straight.
