κρείσσων ἀνὴρ ἐλέγχων ἀνδρὸς σκληροτραχήλου ἐξαπίνης γὰρ φλεγομένου αὐτοῦ οὐκ ἔστιν ἴασις
A man who reproves is better than a stiff-necked man; for when that one is suddenly inflamed, there is no healing.
責備人的,勝過硬著頸項的人;因為那人一旦忽然發作,就無法醫治。

ἐγκωμιαζομένων δικαίων εὐφρανθήσονται λαοί ἀρχόντων δὲ ἀσεβῶν στένουσιν ἄνδρες
When the righteous are praised, peoples will rejoice; but when the ungodly rule, men groan.
義人受稱讚,萬民就歡喜;不敬虔的人掌權,眾人就歎息。

ἀνδρὸς φιλοῦντος σοφίαν εὐφραίνεται πατὴρ αὐτοῦ ὃς δὲ ποιμαίνει πόρνας ἀπολεῖ πλοῦτον
When a man loves wisdom, his father rejoices; but he who shepherds harlots will destroy wealth.
人愛慕智慧,他父親就歡喜;牧養妓女的,必喪失財富。

βασιλεὺς δίκαιος ἀνίστησιν χώραν ἀνὴρ δὲ παράνομος κατασκάπτει
A righteous king raises up a land, but a lawless man tears it down.
公義的君王使國土興起;不法的人卻將它拆毀。

ὃς παρασκευάζεται ἐπὶ πρόσωπον τοῦ ἑαυτοῦ φίλου δίκτυον περιβάλλει αὐτὸ τοῖς ἑαυτοῦ ποσίν
He who sets a net before the face of his own friend casts it around his own feet.
在自己朋友面前張設網羅的,是把網羅罩在自己的腳上。
29:6▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ἁμαρτάνοντι ἀνδρὶ μεγάλη παγίς δίκαιος δὲ ἐν χαρᾷ καὶ ἐν εὐφροσύνῃ ἔσται
For a sinning man there is a great snare, but the righteous will be in joy and gladness.
犯罪的人有大網羅;義人卻必在喜樂歡欣之中。
29:7▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ἐπίσταται δίκαιος κρίνειν πενιχροῖς ὁ δὲ ἀσεβὴς οὐ συνήσει γνῶσιν καὶ πτωχῷ οὐχ ὑπάρχει νοῦς ἐπιγνώμων
The righteous man knows how to judge for the needy, but the ungodly will not understand knowledge; and the poor man has no discerning mind.
義人曉得為貧乏人施行判斷;不敬虔的人卻不明白知識,窮人也沒有能辨識的心思。
29:8▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ἄνδρες λοιμοὶ ἐξέκαυσαν πόλιν σοφοὶ δὲ ἀπέστρεψαν ὀργήν
Pestilent men have set a city ablaze, but the wise have turned away wrath.
敗壞的人點燃城邑;智慧人卻使怒氣轉消。
29:9▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ἀνὴρ σοφὸς κρίνει ἔθνη ἀνὴρ δὲ φαῦλος ὀργιζόμενος καταγελᾶται καὶ οὐ καταπτήσσει
A wise man judges nations, but a worthless man in his anger is laughed at and does not cower.
智慧人審判列國;愚劣的人發怒卻被人譏笑,自己也不戰兢。
29:10▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ἄνδρες αἱμάτων μέτοχοι μισήσουσιν ὅσιον οἱ δὲ εὐθεῖς ἐκζητήσουσιν ψυχὴν αὐτοῦ
Men who share in bloodshed will hate a holy man, but the upright will seek out his soul.
流人血的同夥必恨惡虔誠人;正直的人卻要尋求他的魂。
29:11▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ὅλον τὸν θυμὸν αὐτοῦ ἐκφέρει ἄφρων σοφὸς δὲ ταμιεύεται κατὰ μέρος
A fool brings out all his wrath, but a wise man stores it up bit by bit.
愚昧人把怒氣全然發出;智慧人卻按分寸收藏。

βασιλέως ὑπακούοντος λόγον ἄδικον πάντες οἱ ὑπ’ αὐτὸν παράνομοι
When a king listens to an unjust word, all who are under him are lawless.
君王若聽從不義的話,他手下的人都成為不法的。

δανιστοῦ καὶ χρεοφειλέτου ἀλλήλοις συνελθόντων ἐπισκοπὴν ποιεῖται ἀμφοτέρων ὁ κύριος
When creditor and debtor come together with each other, the Lord makes an inspection of them both.
債主和欠債的彼此相會,主就鑒察他們二人。
29:14▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
βασιλέως ἐν ἀληθείᾳ κρίνοντος πτωχοὺς ὁ θρόνος αὐτοῦ εἰς μαρτύριον κατασταθήσεται
When a king judges the poor in truth, his throne will be established for a testimony.
君王憑真理審判窮人,他的寶座必被堅立為見證。
29:15▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
πληγαὶ καὶ ἔλεγχοι διδόασιν σοφίαν παῖς δὲ πλανώμενος αἰσχύνει γονεῖς αὐτοῦ
Blows and reproofs give wisdom; but a child who goes astray shames his parents.
鞭打與責備賜下智慧;但迷途的孩子使他的父母蒙羞。
29:16▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
πολλῶν ὄντων ἀσεβῶν πολλαὶ γίνονται ἁμαρτίαι οἱ δὲ δίκαιοι ἐκείνων πιπτόντων κατάφοβοι γίνονται
When the ungodly are many, sins become many; but the righteous, when those fall, become full of fear.
不敬虔的人多,罪過就多;但那些人跌倒的時候,義人卻滿心懼怕。
29:17▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
παίδευε υἱόν σου καὶ ἀναπαύσει σε καὶ δώσει κόσμον τῇ ψυχῇ σου
Discipline your son, and he will give you rest, and he will give adornment to your soul.
管教你的兒子,他必使你得安息,又將華美賜給你的魂。
29:18▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
οὐ μὴ ὑπάρξῃ ἐξηγητὴς ἔθνει παρανόμῳ ὁ δὲ φυλάσσων τὸν νόμον μακαριστός
There will be no interpreter for a lawless nation; but he who keeps the law is most blessed.
違法的邦國必沒有解釋者;但遵守律法的人最為有福。
29:19▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
λόγοις οὐ παιδευθήσεται οἰκέτης σκληρός ἐὰν γὰρ καὶ νοήσῃ ἀλλ’ οὐχ ὑπακούσεται
A stubborn household servant will not be disciplined by words; for even if he understands, still he will not obey.
頑梗的家僕不會因言語受管教;因為他就算明白了,仍舊不順從。
29:20▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ἐὰν ἴδῃς ἄνδρα ταχὺν ἐν λόγοις γίνωσκε ὅτι ἐλπίδα ἔχει μᾶλλον ἄφρων αὐτοῦ
If you see a man hasty in words, know that a fool has more hope than he.
你若看見言語急躁的人,要知道愚昧人比他更有指望。
29:21▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ὃς κατασπαταλᾷ ἐκ παιδός οἰκέτης ἔσται ἔσχατον δὲ ὀδυνηθήσεται ἐφ’ ἑαυτῷ
He who lives in luxury from childhood will be a household servant, and in the end he will grieve over himself.
從小嬌生慣養的,必成為家僕,到末了必為自己憂傷。
29:22▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ἀνὴρ θυμώδης ὀρύσσει νεῖκος ἀνὴρ δὲ ὀργίλος ἐξώρυξεν ἁμαρτίας
A hot-tempered man digs up strife, and an irascible man has dug out sins.
暴怒的人挖出爭端,易怒的人掘出諸般罪過。
29:23▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ὕβρις ἄνδρα ταπεινοῖ τοὺς δὲ ταπεινόφρονας ἐρείδει δόξῃ κύριος
Insolence brings a man low, but the Lord upholds the humble-minded with glory.
狂傲使人降卑,但主以榮耀扶持心思謙卑的人。
29:24▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ὃς μερίζεται κλέπτῃ μισεῖ τὴν ἑαυτοῦ ψυχήν ἐὰν δὲ ὅρκου προτεθέντος ἀκούσαντες μὴ ἀναγγείλωσιν
He who shares with a thief hates his own soul; and if, when the oath has been set forth, they having heard it do not report it—
與賊同分的,恨惡自己的魂;他們若在誓言擺明之時聽見了卻不去報告——
29:25▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
φοβηθέντες καὶ αἰσχυνθέντες ἀνθρώπους ὑπεσκελίσθησαν ὁ δὲ πεποιθὼς ἐπὶ κύριον εὐφρανθήσεται ἀσέβεια ἀνδρὶ δίδωσιν σφάλμα ὃς δὲ πέποιθεν ἐπὶ τῷ δεσπότῃ σωθήσεται
fearing and being ashamed before men, they were tripped up; but he who trusts in the Lord will be glad. Ungodliness gives a man a stumble; but he who has trusted in the Master will be saved.
他們因懼怕人、在人面前羞愧,就被絆倒了;但倚靠主的必歡喜。不敬虔使人失足;倚靠主宰的必得拯救。
29:26▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
πολλοὶ θεραπεύουσιν πρόσωπα ἡγουμένων παρὰ δὲ κυρίου γίνεται τὸ δίκαιον ἀνδρί
Many court the faces of rulers, but what is just for a man comes from the Lord.
許多人逢迎掌權者的臉面,但人所得的公正是從主而來。
29:27▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
βδέλυγμα δικαίοις ἀνὴρ ἄδικος βδέλυγμα δὲ ἀνόμῳ κατευθύνουσα ὁδός
An unjust man is an abomination to the righteous, and a way that goes straight is an abomination to the lawless.
不義的人是義人所憎惡的;正直的道路是不法之人所憎惡的。
