ℹ️ This corpus has no verse-level morphological tagging. Lemmas come mainly from word-level tagging of other books in the same language (not from this verse), falling back to dictionary form-matching for the rest. Rare homographs can still be misread; verify against the original and a specialist lexicon where precision matters.

And that, having become man for our sake, he endured to suffer and to be dishonored, and shall come again with glory, hear the prophecies spoken to this effect. These are they: "Because they delivered his soul to death, and he was reckoned among the lawless, he himself bore the sins of many and shall make atonement for the lawless. For behold, my servant shall understand, and shall be exalted and greatly glorified. As many shall be astonished at you, so shall your appearance be without honor among men, and your glory be despised by men; so shall many nations marvel, and kings shall shut their mouths; for those to whom no report concerning him was made shall see, and those who have not heard shall understand. Lord, who has believed our report? and to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed? We announced him before his presence as a little child, as a root in a thirsty ground. He has no form nor glory; and we saw him, and he had no form nor beauty, but his form was without honor and failing beyond that of men. A man stricken and acquainted with bearing sickness, because his face is turned away, he was dishonored and not esteemed. This one bears our sins and suffers pain for us, and we accounted him to be in toil and stricken and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions and bruised for our sins; the chastisement of our peace was upon him, and by his stripes we were healed. We all like sheep went astray; every man went astray in his own way; and he gave him up for our sins, and he, because of being afflicted, opens not his mouth. As a sheep is led to the slaughter, and as a lamb dumb before the one who shears it, so he opens not his mouth. In his humiliation his judgment was taken away." Now after he was crucified, all his acquaintances also fell away, having denied him; but later, when he had risen from the dead and appeared to them and taught them to study the prophecies in which all these things had been foretold as to happen, and when they had seen him ascending into heaven and had believed and received from him the power sent to them from there, they went to every race of mankind, taught these things, and were called apostles.
