利未記 第 25 章

And the Lord spoke to Moses on Mount Sina, saying,

Speak to the sons of Israel and say to them: When you enter the land that I give you, the land that I give you shall rest a sabbath to the Lord.

Six years you shall sow your field, and six years you shall prune your vineyard and gather in its fruit.

But in the seventh year there shall be a sabbath, a rest for the land, a sabbath to the Lord; you shall not sow your field nor prune your vineyard.

And what grows of itself in your field you shall not reap, and the grapes of your consecrated thing you shall not gather; it shall be a year of rest for the land.

And the sabbaths of the land shall be food for you, and for your male servant, and for your female servant, and for your hired worker, and for the sojourner who is joined to you;

and for your cattle and for the wild animals that are in your land, all its produce shall be for food.

And you shall count for yourself seven rests of years, seven years seven times; and the seven weeks of years shall be forty-nine years for you.

And you shall proclaim with the sound of a trumpet in all your land, in the seventh month, on the tenth of the month, on the day of atonement you shall proclaim with a trumpet in all your land.

And you shall sanctify the fiftieth year and proclaim release in the land to all its inhabitants; this shall be a year of release, a signal for you; and each one shall return to his own possession, and each of you shall return to his own homeland.

This is a signal of release; the fiftieth year shall be for you; you shall not sow, nor reap what grows of itself in it, nor gather its consecrated fruit.

For it is a signal of release; it shall be holy for you; from the fields you shall eat its produce.

In the year of release, at its signal, each one shall return to his own possession.

And if you make a sale to your neighbor, or if you buy from your neighbor, let no one oppress his neighbor.

According to the number of years after the signal you shall buy from your neighbor; according to the number of years of produce he shall sell to you.

According as the years are more, he shall increase its purchase price; and according as the years are fewer, he shall lessen its price; for according to the number of its harvests he sells to you.

Let no one oppress his neighbor, and you shall fear the Lord your God; I am the Lord your God.

And you shall do all my ordinances and all my judgments, and keep them and do them; and you shall dwell on the land in confidence.

And the land shall yield its produce, and you shall eat to the full and dwell on it in confidence.

But if you say, 'What shall we eat in this seventh year, if we do not sow nor gather in our produce?'

then I will send my blessing to you in the sixth year, and it shall yield its produce for the three years.

And you shall sow in the eighth year, and you shall eat of the old produce until the ninth year; until its produce comes in, you shall eat old things of old things.

And the land shall not be sold as a permanent settlement, for the land is mine, because you are proselytes and sojourners before me.

And throughout all the land of your possession you shall give a ransom for the land.

But if your brother becomes poor and sells part of his possession, then his nearest kinsman shall come and redeem what his brother sold.

But if anyone has no kinsman-redeemer, and his hand prospers, and he finds enough for his ransom,

then he shall reckon the years of his sale and repay what is in excess to the man to whom he sold himself, and he shall return to his possession.

But if his hand does not prosper enough to repay him, then the sale shall belong to the one who acquired it until the sixth year of the release; and at the release it shall go out, and he shall return to his possession.

And if anyone sells a dwelling house in a walled city, then its redemption shall be until a year of days is completed; its redemption shall last that long.

But if it is not redeemed until a whole year is completed for it, the house that is in the city that has a wall shall be confirmed permanently to the one who acquired it, throughout his generations, and it shall not go out at the release.

But the houses in villages that have no wall around them shall be reckoned with the fields of the land; they shall be redeemable always, and at the release they shall go out.

And as for the cities of the Levites, the houses of the cities of their possession are redeemable always by the Levites.

And whoever redeems from the Levites, the sale of their houses in the city of their possession shall go out at the release, because the houses of the cities of the Levites are their possession in the midst of the sons of Israel.

And the fields set apart for their cities shall not be sold, because this is their everlasting possession.

And if your brother becomes poor and is powerless with his hands beside you, you shall support him as a proselyte and a sojourner, and your brother shall live with you.

You shall not take interest from him, nor take more than you gave; and you shall fear your God—I am the Lord—and your brother shall live with you.

You shall not give him your silver at interest, nor give him your food for increase.

I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, to give you the land of Canaan, so as to be your God.

And if your brother is brought low beside you and is sold to you, he shall not serve you with the servitude of a household slave.

He shall be with you as a hired worker or a sojourner; he shall work with you until the year of release.

And at the release he shall go out, and his children with him, and he shall return to his family; he shall run back to his ancestral possession.

For these are my household servants, whom I brought out of the land of Egypt; one shall not be sold as a household slave is sold.

You shall not wear him down with hard labor, and you shall fear the Lord your God.

And as for manservant and maidservant, whoever may come to you from the nations that are around you, from them you may acquire a male slave and a female slave.

And from the sons of the sojourners who are among you, from these you may acquire, and from their relatives who are born in your land; and they shall be yours for a possession.

And you shall apportion them to your children after you, and they shall be held by you as property forever; but as for your brothers, the sons of Israel, no one shall wear down his brother with hard labor.

And if the hand of the proselyte or the sojourner who is with you finds enough, and your brother, being in want, is sold to the proselyte or to the sojourner who is with you, to a proselyte from birth,

after he has been sold to him there shall be redemption for him: one of his brothers shall redeem him—

his father's brother, or his father's brother's son shall redeem him, or one of his own flesh and kin from his tribe shall redeem him; but if his hands prosper, he shall redeem himself.

And he shall reckon with the one who acquired him from the year in which he sold himself to him until the year of release; and the silver of his sale shall be as that of a hired worker; year after year he shall be with him.

And if anyone still has many years, according to these he shall repay his ransom out of the silver of his sale.

But if few of the years are left until the year of release, then he shall reckon with him according to his years and repay his ransom.

As a hired worker he shall be with him year after year; you shall not wear him down with hard labor before your eyes.

But if he is not redeemed in these ways, he shall go out in the year of release, he and his children with him.

For to me the sons of Israel are household servants; these are my servants, whom I brought out of the land of Egypt. I am the Lord your God.
