ℹ️ This corpus has no verse-level morphological tagging. Lemmas come mainly from word-level tagging of other books in the same language (not from this verse), falling back to dictionary form-matching for the rest. Rare homographs can still be misread; verify against the original and a specialist lexicon where precision matters.
ℹ️ The Chinese and English alongside are this site's own translation, made directly from the original text on this page (not the CUV or the WEB, which follow the Masoretic Text and a different textual tradition).

6:1
Then Job answered and says:
"Oh that someone would weigh out my anger, and lift up my pains together in a balance;
惟願有人把我的忿怒稱一稱,又把我的痛苦一同放在天平上;
6:3
then indeed it would be heavier than the sand of the seashore; and so, as it seems, my words are rash.
For the arrows of the Lord are in my body, whose fury drinks up my blood; whenever I begin to speak, they pierce me.
For what? Does the wild ass bray for nothing, and not rather when seeking food? And will an ox break into a bellow at the manger when it has its fodder?
Shall bread be eaten without salt? And is there any taste in empty words?
For my soul cannot rest; for I see my food as a stench, like the smell of a lion.
Oh that he would grant it, and my request would come, and that the Lord would grant my hope!
Let the Lord, having begun, wound me, but let him not slay me utterly.
Let my city be my tomb, upon whose walls I used to leap; I will not spare myself, for I have not lied against the holy words of my God.
For what is my strength, that I endure? Or what is my time, that my soul holds out?
Is my strength the strength of stones, or is my flesh of bronze?
Did I not trust in him? Yet help is far from me.
Mercy has renounced me, and the Lord's oversight has overlooked me.
My nearest kin did not look upon me; like a failing torrent, or like a wave, they passed me by.
Those who stood in awe of me have now fallen upon me like snow or frozen ice.
As when, melting at the coming of heat, it was not recognized for what it was.
So I too have been abandoned by all; I perished and became homeless.
Look at the roads of Thaiman, the paths of Saba, you who look closely.
And those who trusted in cities and riches will owe shame.
But you also have set upon me without mercy, so that seeing my wound you were afraid.
For what? Did I ask anything of you, or do I need help from your strength,
so as to save me from enemies, or to deliver me from the hand of the mighty?
Teach me, and I will be silent; if I have gone astray in anything, tell me.
But, as it seems, the words of a truthful man are held cheap; for I do not ask strength from you.
Neither will your reproof stop me with words, nor indeed will I bear the utterance of your speech.
Only that you fall upon an orphan and leap upon your own friend.
But now, having looked into your faces, I will not lie.
Sit down now, and let there be nothing unjust; and come together again with the righteous.
For there is nothing unjust on my tongue; or does my throat not meditate on understanding?
