ℹ️ This corpus has no morphological tagging. Glosses are matched by word form against a dictionary — a match does not prove it is the same word (an inflected form can coincide with another word’s lemma). Verify against the original and a specialist lexicon where precision matters.
ℹ️ The Chinese and English alongside are this site's own translation, made directly from the original text on this page (not the CUV or the WEB, which follow the Masoretic Text and a different textual tradition).
19:1
De prophetica lectione sanctitatem vestram censui consulendam, cujus lectionis exemplar subter adje i. III, 21).
Concerning a prophetic reading I have thought that your sanctity should be consulted, a copy of which reading I have appended below. And so, whether these times have already been, or are yet to come, may you deign to declare by your writing: 'Out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem; and he shall judge among many peoples, and rebuke strong nations even afar off; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning-hooks; and nation shall no longer lift up sword against nation, neither shall they stand to make war any more' (Isa. 2:5,4). And: 'Every man shall rest under his own vine and under his own fig tree; and there shall be none to make them afraid' (cf. 1 Kings 4:25).
