ℹ️ This corpus has no morphological tagging. Glosses are matched by word form against a dictionary — a match does not prove it is the same word (an inflected form can coincide with another word’s lemma). Verify against the original and a specialist lexicon where precision matters.

Although a perpetual cause of charity ever supplies occasion for rendering the office of service to your Greatness, and I rightly owe a special observance of devotion to your earnest piety: yet now the occasion of the festival has enjoined upon me a longed-for necessity, that I should present myself to your affection at least by the service of a letter—I who would wish to do so also by meeting you. Therefore, entreating with due reverence, I ask whether you have celebrated the feast according to your vow, imploring the inexhaustible bounty of our Redeemer, that He may advance you by His protection even to a hundredth year, and, as He has done hitherto, exalt you for our adornment, rewarded with all good things.
