And David said in his heart, saying, Now I shall be swept away one day into the hands of Saul; and there is nothing good for me unless I escape into the land of the Philistines, and Saul give up seeking me in every border of Israel, and I shall be delivered out of his hand.
And David dwelt with Anchous in Geth, he and his men, each with his household; and David with both his wives, Achinaam the Iezraelitess and Abigail the wife of Nabal the Carmelite.
And David said to Anchous, If now your servant has found favour in your eyes, let them give me a place in one of the cities in the country, and I will dwell there; and why should your servant dwell in a royal city with you?
And David and his men went up and made raids upon all the Gesiri and upon the Amalekite. And behold, the land was inhabited from those belonging to it, from Gelampsour of the walled places, and as far as the land of Egypt.

And Anchous said to David, Against whom did you make a raid today? And David said to Anchous, Against the south of Judea, and against the south of Iesmega, and against the south of the Kenezite.
And he preserved alive neither man nor woman to bring into Geth, saying, Lest they report against us to Geth, saying, Thus David does. And this was his custom all the days that David dwelt in the country of the Philistines.
And David was greatly trusted by Anchous, who said, He has been utterly put to shame among his own people in Israel, and he shall be my servant for ever.
