📖 This chapter exists in 3 other originals — side by side (Hebrew Old Testament, Vulgate, Ge'ez Bible)
ℹ️ This corpus has no verse-level morphological tagging. Lemmas come mainly from word-level tagging of other books in the same language (not from this verse), falling back to dictionary form-matching for the rest. Rare homographs can still be misread; verify against the original and a specialist lexicon where precision matters.
ℹ️ The Chinese and English alongside are this site's own translation, made directly from the original text on this page (not the CUV or the WEB, which follow the Masoretic Text and a different textual tradition).

16:1
καὶσὺμὴλάβῃςγυναῖκαλέγεικύριοςὁθεὸςΙσραηλ
And you, do not take a wife, says the Lord, the God of Israel.
你不可娶妻,這是主以色列的神說的。
16:2
καὶοὐγεννηθήσεταίσοιυἱὸςοὐδὲθυγάτηρἐντῷτόπῳτούτῳ
And there shall not be born to you a son or a daughter in this place.
For thus says the Lord concerning the sons and concerning the daughters who are born in this place, and concerning their mothers who bore them, and concerning their fathers who begot them in this land:
They shall die of a sickly death; they shall not be lamented, nor shall they be buried; they shall be for an example upon the face of the earth, and for the beasts of the earth and for the birds of the sky; they shall fall by the sword and be consumed by famine.
Thus says the Lord: Do not enter into their mourning feast, and do not go to lament, and do not mourn for them; for I have withdrawn my peace from this people.
And bread shall not be broken in their mourning for comfort over one who has died; they shall not give him a cup to drink for comfort over his father and his mother.
For thus says the Lord, the God of Israel: Behold, I am putting an end, out of this place and before your eyes and in your days, to the voice of joy and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride.
And it shall be, when you declare to this people all these words, and they say to you: Why has the Lord spoken all these evils against us? What is our injustice, and what is our sin that we have sinned before the Lord our God?
Then you shall say to them: Because your fathers forsook me, says the Lord, and went after foreign gods and served them and worshiped them, and forsook me and did not keep my law.
And I will cast you out from this land into the land that neither you nor your fathers have known; and there you shall serve other gods, who will not show you mercy.
Therefore, behold, days are coming, says the Lord, when they shall no longer say: The Lord lives, who brought up the sons of Israel out of the land of Egypt;
but rather: The Lord lives, who brought up the house of Israel from the land of the north and from all the countries where they had been driven. And I will restore them to their land, which I gave to their fathers.
Behold, I am sending many fishermen, says the Lord, and they shall fish for them; and after this I will send many hunters, and they shall hunt them upon every mountain and upon every hill and out of the clefts of the rocks.
And I will repay double their iniquities and their sins, by which they profaned my land with the carcasses of their abominations, and with their lawless deeds with which they defiled my inheritance.
O Lord, my strength and my help and my refuge in the day of evils! To you the nations shall come from the end of the earth, and they shall say: How false were the idols our fathers acquired, and there is no profit in them.
Therefore, behold, I will make known to them at this time my hand, and I will make known to them my power; and they shall know that my name is the Lord.
