約書亞記 第 18 章

And the whole congregation of the sons of Israel assembled at Shiloh, and they pitched there the tent of witness; and the land was subdued by them.

And there remained among the sons of Israel seven tribes that had not received an inheritance.

And Joshua said to the sons of Israel: How long will you be slack to take possession of the land which the Lord our God has given?

Give from among you three men from each tribe, and let them arise and go through the land and map it out before me, according to how it must be divided. And they came to him.

And he divided to them seven portions: Judas shall stand as a border for them on the south, and the sons of Joseph shall stand for them on the north.

But you, divide the land into seven portions and bring it here to me, and I will bring forth a lot for you before the Lord our God.

For the sons of Levi have no portion among you, for the priesthood of the Lord is his portion. And Gad and Rouben and the half tribe of Manasse have taken their inheritance beyond the Jordan eastward, which Moses the servant of the Lord gave them.

And the men arose and went. And Joshua charged the men who went to survey the land, saying: Go and survey the land and come back to me, and here I will bring forth a lot for you before the Lord in Shiloh.

And they went and surveyed the land and saw it, and wrote it down by its cities, in seven portions, in a book, and brought it to Joshua.

And Joshua cast a lot for them in Shiloh before the Lord.

And the lot of the tribe of Benjamin came out first according to their clans; and the borders of their lot came out between Judah and the sons of Joseph.

And their border on the north was from the Jordan; the border shall go up at the shoulder of Jericho on the north, and shall go up to the mountain toward the sea, and its outgoing shall be the wilderness of Baithōn.

And from there the border shall pass to Louza, at the shoulder of Louza on the south — this is Baithel — and the border shall go down to Maatarōthorech, to the hill country which is south of Baithōrōn the lower.

And the border shall pass and turn to the side that looks toward the sea on the south, from the mountain facing Baithōrōn on the south; and its outgoing shall be at Kariathbaal — this is Kariathiarin, a city of the sons of Judah. This is the side toward the sea.

And the side toward the south is from the edge of Kariathbaal; and the border shall pass to Gasin, to the spring of the water of Naphthō.

And the border shall go down to the side of the mountain which faces the glen of Onnam, which is on the north side of Emekraphain; and it shall go down to Gaienna, at the shoulder of Iebousai on the south, and shall go down to the spring Rōgēl.

And it shall pass to the spring of Baithsamys, and pass on to Galilōth, which is opposite the ascent of Aithamin; and it shall go down to the stone of Baiōn, of the sons of Rouben.

And it shall pass at the shoulder of Baitharaba on the north, and shall go down,

to the borders at the shoulder of Baithagla on the north; and the outgoing of the borders shall be at the ridge of the Salt Sea on the north, at the south part of the Jordan. These are the borders on the south.

And the Jordan shall be the boundary on the east side. This is the inheritance of the sons of Benjamin, its borders round about according to their clans.

And the cities of the sons of Benjamin according to their clans were: Jericho and Baithegliō and Amekasis Bēthagla and Amekkasis

and Baithabara and Sara and Bēsana and Baitharaba and Semrim and Bēthel

and Aiin and Phara and Ephratha and Auim and Aphar and Aphra

and Karapha and Kephira and Moni and Gabaa: twelve cities and their villages and Aikaren and Kaphērammin and Gabaa: twelve cities and their villages

Gabaōn and Rama and Beērōtha Gabaōn and Rama and Bērōth

and Massēma and Mirōn and Amōkē and Maspha and Chephira and Amōsa

and Phira and Kaphan and Nakan and Selēkan and Thareēla and Rekem and Ierphaēl and Tharala

and Iebous (this is Ierousalem), and cities, and Gabaothiarim: thirteen cities and their villages. This is the inheritance of the sons of Beniamin according to their families. and Selaleph, and Iebous (this is Ierousalem), and Gabaath, and the city of Iarim: thirteen cities and their villages. This is the inheritance of the sons of Beniamin according to their families.
