📖 This chapter exists in 3 other originals — side by side (Hebrew Old Testament, Vulgate, Ge'ez Bible)
ℹ️ This corpus has no verse-level morphological tagging. Lemmas come mainly from word-level tagging of other books in the same language (not from this verse), falling back to dictionary form-matching for the rest. Rare homographs can still be misread; verify against the original and a specialist lexicon where precision matters.
ℹ️ The Chinese and English alongside are this site's own translation, made directly from the original text on this page (not the CUV or the WEB, which follow the Masoretic Text and a different textual tradition).

A man, any man, who vows a vow to the Lord or swears an oath or binds himself with a binding concerning his soul, shall not profane his word; all that goes out of his mouth he shall do.
and her father hears her vows and her bindings which she bound against her soul, and her father keeps silent to her, then all her vows shall stand, and all the bindings which she bound against her soul shall remain for her.
But if her father, in refusing, refuses on the day he hears all her vows and the bindings which she bound against her soul, they shall not stand; and the Lord shall cleanse her, because her father refused.
and her husband hears and keeps silent to her on the day he hears, then thus all her vows shall stand, and her bindings which she bound against her soul shall stand.
But if her husband, in refusing, refuses on the day he hears, all her vows and her bindings which she bound against her soul shall not remain, because the husband refused from her; and the Lord shall cleanse her.
and her husband hears and keeps silent to her and does not refuse her, then all her vows shall stand, and all her bindings which she bound against her soul shall stand against her.
But if her husband, in removing, removes them on the day he hears, then all that goes out of her lips according to her vows and according to the bindings against her soul shall not remain for her; her husband has removed them, and the Lord shall cleanse her.
But if, being silent, he keeps silent to her from day to day, then he shall establish for her all her vows, and the bindings that are upon her he shall establish for her, because he was silent to her on the day he heard.
These are the ordinances which the Lord commanded Moses, between a man and his wife, and between father and daughter in her youth, in the house of the father.
