ℹ️ This corpus has no verse-level morphological tagging. Lemmas come mainly from word-level tagging of other books in the same language (not from this verse), falling back to dictionary form-matching for the rest. Rare homographs can still be misread; verify against the original and a specialist lexicon where precision matters.
ℹ️ The Chinese and English alongside are this site's own translation, made directly from the original text on this page (not the CUV or the WEB, which follow the Masoretic Text and a different textual tradition).

7:1
And when Solomon finished praying, the fire came down from heaven and consumed the whole burnt offerings and the sacrifices, and the glory of the Lord filled the house.
And the priests could not enter into the house of the Lord at that time, because the glory of the Lord filled the house.
And all the sons of Israel were watching the fire coming down and the glory of the Lord upon the house, and they fell on their face to the ground, on the stone pavement, and worshiped and praised the Lord, 'For he is good, for his mercy is forever.'
And the king and all the people were offering sacrifices before the Lord.
And Solomon offered the sacrifice of twenty-two thousand calves and a hundred and twenty thousand head of livestock; and the king and all the people dedicated the house of God.
And the priests were standing at their posts, and the Levites with the instruments of the songs of the Lord belonging to David the king, to give thanks before the Lord, 'For his mercy is forever,' with the hymns of David by their hand; and the priests were sounding the trumpets opposite them, and all Israel was standing.
And Solomon consecrated the middle of the court that is in the house of the Lord, for he offered there the whole burnt offerings and the fat of the offerings of deliverance, because the bronze altar that Solomon had made could not contain the whole burnt offerings and the grain offerings and the fat.
And Solomon kept the feast at that time for seven days, and all Israel with him, an exceedingly great assembly, from the entrance of Hamath as far as the Wadi of Egypt.
And on the eighth day he made a closing assembly, for he had kept the dedication of the altar seven days as a feast.
And on the twenty-third of the seventh month he sent the people away to their tents, rejoicing and with a glad heart over the good things that the Lord had done for David and for Solomon and for Israel his people.
And Solomon finished the house of the Lord and the house of the king; and in everything that Solomon desired in his soul to do in the house of the Lord and in his own house he prospered.
And God appeared to Solomon in the night and said to him, 'I have heard your prayer, and I have chosen for myself in this place a house of sacrifice.'
If I shut up the heaven and no rain comes, or if I command the locust to devour the tree, or if I send death among my people,
我若閉塞天不下雨,或吩咐蝗蟲吞吃樹木,或降死亡在我子民中;
7:14
and if my people, upon whom my name has been called, are put to shame and pray and seek my face and turn back from their evil ways, then I will listen from heaven and will be merciful toward their sins and will heal their land.
Now my eyes will be open and my ears attentive to the prayer of this place.
And now I have chosen and sanctified this house, that my name may be there forever; and my eyes and my heart will be there all the days.
And as for you, if you walk before me as David your father did, and do according to all that I have commanded you, and keep my statutes and my judgments,
then I will raise up the throne of your kingdom, as I covenanted with David your father, saying, 'There shall not be taken away from you a man ruling in Israel.'
But if you turn away and forsake my statutes and my commandments that I set before you, and you go and serve other gods and worship them,
then I will remove you from the land that I gave to them; and this house that I sanctified for my name I will turn away from my presence, and I will make it a proverb and a byword among all the nations.
And as for this house, the lofty one, everyone who passes by it will be astonished and will say, 'For what reason has the Lord done this to this land and to this house?'
And they will say, 'Because they forsook the Lord, the God of their fathers, who brought them out of the land of Egypt, and they took hold of other gods and worshiped them and served them; therefore he brought upon them all this evil.'
