2 Chronicles 31

And when all this was completed, all Israel—those found in the cities of Ioudas—went out and broke the pillars in pieces and cut down the sacred groves and pulled down the high places and the altars from all Ioudaia and Beniamin and from Ephraim and from Manasse, until they were wholly finished; and all Israel returned, each to his own inheritance and to their cities.

And Ezekias appointed the divisions of the priests and of the Levites, and the divisions of each according to his own ministry, to the priests and to the Levites, for the whole burnt offering and for the sacrifice of deliverance, and to praise and to give thanks and to minister in the gates, in the courts of the house of the Lord.

And there was a portion of the king from his own possessions for the whole burnt offerings, the morning one and the evening one, and whole burnt offerings for sabbaths and for new moons and for the feasts written in the law of the Lord.

And he told the people dwelling in Ierousalem to give the portion of the priests and of the Levites, so that they might be strong in the ministry of the house of the Lord.

And when he gave the command, the sons of Israel brought in abundance the firstfruits of grain and wine and oil and honey and every produce of the field, and they brought all the tithes in abundance.

The sons of Israel and Ioudas and those dwelling in the cities of Ioudas—they also brought tithes of calves and sheep and tithes of goats, and they consecrated them to the Lord their God, and they brought them in and laid them in heap upon heap.

In the third month the heaps began to be laid, and in the seventh month they were completed.

And Ezekias and the rulers came and saw the heaps, and they blessed the Lord and his people Israel.

And Ezekias inquired of the priests and the Levites concerning the heaps.

And Azarias the priest, the ruler over the house of Sadok, said to him, and he said: From the time the firstfruits began to be brought into the house of the Lord, we have eaten and drunk and have had some left over, for the Lord has blessed his people; and this abundance is what we have left over.

And Ezekias said to prepare chambers in the house of the Lord, and they prepared them.

And they faithfully brought in there the firstfruits and the tithes; and over them was Chonenias the Levite as overseer, and Semei his brother as his second.

and Iiel and Ozazias and Naeth and Asael and Ierimoth and Iozabath and Eliel and Samachia and Maath and Banaias and his sons, appointed through Chonenias and Semei his brother, as King Ezekias and Azarias the leader of the house of the Lord had commanded.

And Kore son of Iemna the Levite, the gatekeeper toward the east, was over the gifts, to distribute the firstfruits to the Lord and the holy of holies.

by the hand of Odom and Beniamin and Iesous and Semei and Amarias and Sechonias, by the hand of the priests, to distribute faithfully to their brothers according to the divisions, to great and small alike.

besides the male offspring from three years old and upward, to everyone entering the house of the Lord, by the daily reckoning day by day, for the ministry in the divisions of their arrangement.

This is the registration of the priests by ancestral houses; and the Levites in their divisions, from twenty years old and upward, in their arrangement.

in the registers, with all the offspring of their sons and their daughters, for the whole multitude, because in faithfulness they consecrated the holy place.

For the sons of Aaron who served as priests, and those from their cities, in every single city there were men designated by name to give a portion to every male among the priests and to everyone registered among the Levites.

And Ezekias did so in all Ioudas, and he did what was good and right before the Lord his God.

And in every work which he began, in the service of the house of the Lord and in the law and in the ordinances, he sought out his God with his whole soul, and he did it and prospered.
