When I heal Israel, then the iniquity of Ephraim and the wickedness of Samaria shall be uncovered, for they wrought falsehood; and a thief will come in to him, a robber stripping people on his road.

so that they may sing together as those who sing together in their heart. I have remembered all their wickednesses; now their devices have encircled them; they have come before my face.
7:3▷ ⧉ ⤴︎

With their wickednesses they gladdened kings, and with their lies, rulers.

The days of your kings: the rulers began to rage from wine; he stretched out his hand with pestilent men.

For their hearts were kindled like an oven while they dashed upon others. All night Ephraim was filled with sleep; morning came, and he was kindled like the blaze of a fire.

And the pride of Israel shall be humbled to his face; yet they did not return to the Lord their God, nor did they seek him out in all these things.

They turned away to nothing; they became like a taut bow. Their rulers shall fall by the sword because of the untaughtness of their tongue; this is their derision in the land of Egypt.
