ℹ️ This corpus has no verse-level morphological tagging. Lemmas come mainly from word-level tagging of other books in the same language (not from this verse), falling back to dictionary form-matching for the rest. Rare homographs can still be misread; verify against the original and a specialist lexicon where precision matters.
ℹ️ The Chinese and English alongside are this site's own translation, made directly from the original text on this page (not the CUV or the WEB, which follow the Masoretic Text and a different textual tradition).

And the Lord said to Moses: Speak to Aaron your brother, and let him not come at just any time into the holy place inside the veil, before the mercy seat which is on the ark of the witness, so that he may not die; for I will appear in a cloud upon the mercy seat.
And he shall put on a consecrated linen tunic, and linen undergarments shall be on his flesh, and he shall gird himself with a linen sash, and shall wrap on a linen turban; these are holy garments. And he shall bathe his whole body in water and shall put them on.
And the goat on which the lot of the one sent away fell he shall set alive before the Lord, to make atonement upon it, so as to send it off for the sending away; he shall release it into the wilderness.
And Aaron shall bring the calf of the sin offering that is his own and his household's only, and shall make atonement for himself and for his household; and he shall slaughter the calf of the sin offering that is his own.
And he shall take the censer full of coals of fire from the altar that is before the Lord, and shall fill his hands with finely compounded incense, and shall bring it inside the veil.
And he shall put the incense on the fire before the Lord, and the vapor of the incense shall cover the mercy seat that is upon the testimonies, so that he may not die.
And he shall take some of the blood of the calf and shall sprinkle with his finger upon the mercy seat toward the east; and in front of the mercy seat he shall sprinkle seven times some of the blood with his finger.
And he shall slaughter the goat of the sin offering that is for the people before the Lord, and shall bring some of its blood inside the veil, and shall do with its blood in the way he did with the blood of the calf; and he shall sprinkle its blood upon the mercy seat, in front of the mercy seat.
And he shall make atonement for the holy place from the uncleannesses of the sons of Israel, and from their wrongdoings concerning all their sins; and so shall he do for the tent of witness that has been established among them, in the midst of their uncleanness.
And no person at all shall be in the tent of witness when he goes in to make atonement in the holy place, until he comes out; and he shall make atonement for himself and for his household and for the whole congregation of the sons of Israel.
And he shall go out to the altar that is before the Lord, and shall make atonement upon it; and he shall take some of the blood of the calf and some of the blood of the goat, and shall put it on the horns of the altar all around.
And he shall sprinkle upon it some of the blood with his finger seven times, and shall cleanse it and shall consecrate it from the uncleannesses of the sons of Israel.
And when he has finished making atonement for the holy place and the tent of witness and the altar, and has cleansed concerning the priests, he shall bring the live goat.
And Aaron shall lay his hands upon the head of the live goat, and shall confess over it all the lawless deeds of the sons of Israel and all their unrighteous acts and all their sins; and he shall put them on the head of the live goat, and shall send it away into the wilderness by the hand of a man who is ready.
And he shall wash his body with water in a holy place and put on his own robe; and going out he shall offer his whole burnt offering and the whole burnt offering of the people, and he shall make atonement for himself and for his household and for the people, as for the priests.
And the one who sends away the goat that was set apart for release shall wash his garments and bathe his body in water, and after that he shall come into the camp.
And the calf for the sin offering and the goat for the sin offering, whose blood was brought in to make atonement in the holy place, they shall carry outside the camp and burn them with fire, both their hides and their flesh and their dung.
And this shall be a perpetual statute for you: in the seventh month, on the tenth of the month, you shall humble your souls, and you shall do no work at all, both the native and the proselyte who resides among you.
The priest whom they anoint, and whose hands they consecrate to serve as priest after his father, shall make atonement; and he shall put on the linen robe, a holy robe.
And he shall make atonement for the holy of the holy place and for the tent of witness; and he shall make atonement for the altar and for the priests and for the whole congregation.
And this shall be a perpetual statute for you, to make atonement for the sons of Israel from all their sins once a year. It shall be done just as the Lord instructed Moses.
