then, if the ungodly man deserves stripes, you shall seat him before the judges, and they shall scourge him in their presence according to his ungodliness, by number.
Forty stripes they shall give him; they shall not add more. But if they add to scourge him beyond these stripes, with more, your brother will be disgraced before you.
If brothers dwell together and one of them dies and has no seed, the wife of the dead man shall not go outside to a man who is not a relative; her husband's brother shall go in to her and take her to himself as wife and live with her.
But if the man does not wish to take his brother's wife, then the woman shall go up to the gate, to the elders, and say, My husband's brother refuses to raise up his brother's name in Israel; my husband's brother is unwilling.
then his brother's wife shall come forward before the elders and pull off his one sandal from his foot and spit in his face, and she shall answer and say, So shall it be done to the man who will not build up his brother's house.
If men are fighting together, a man with his brother, and the wife of one of them comes near to deliver her husband from the hand of the one striking him, and she stretches out her hand and seizes his private parts,
You shall have a true and just weight, and you shall have a true and just measure, so that you may live many days in the land which the Lord your God gives you as an inheritance.
how he opposed you on the road and cut down your rear guard, those who were weary behind you, while you were hungry and worn out; and he did not fear God.
And it shall be, when the Lord your God gives you rest from all your enemies round about, in the land which the Lord your God gives you as an inheritance to possess, that you shall blot out the name of Amalek from under heaven; and you shall not forget.
