📖 This chapter exists in 3 other originals — side by side (Hebrew Old Testament, Vulgate, Ge'ez Bible)
ℹ️ This corpus has no verse-level morphological tagging. Lemmas come mainly from word-level tagging of other books in the same language (not from this verse), falling back to dictionary form-matching for the rest. Rare homographs can still be misread; verify against the original and a specialist lexicon where precision matters.
ℹ️ The Chinese and English alongside are this site's own translation, made directly from the original text on this page (not the CUV or the WEB, which follow the Masoretic Text and a different textual tradition).

And you shall know today that it is not your children, who neither know nor have seen the discipline of the Lord your God, and his mighty deeds, and the mighty hand and the uplifted arm,
and all that he did to the army of the Egyptians, their chariots and their cavalry, how the water of the Red Sea overwhelmed them upon their face as they were pursuing after you, and the Lord destroyed them, until this present day;
and all that he did to Dathan and Abiron, the sons of Eliab, the son of Rouben, whom the earth, opening its mouth, swallowed up — them and their households and their tents and all their substance that was with them — in the midst of all Israel.
And you shall keep all his commandments, as many as I command you today, that you may live and be multiplied, and having entered in, may inherit the land into which you are crossing the Jordan, there to inherit it;
that you may live long upon the land which the Lord swore to your fathers to give to them and to their seed after them, a land flowing with milk and honey.
For the land into which you are entering, there to inherit it, is not like the land of Egypt, from which you came out, where they sow the seed and water it with their feet, like a garden of vegetables.
a land which the Lord your God watches over; continually the eyes of the Lord your God are upon it, from the beginning of the year until the end of the year.
And if you indeed hearken to all his commandments, as many as I command you today, to love the Lord your God and to serve him with your whole heart and with your whole soul,
and the Lord, being angry with wrath against you, shut up the heaven, and there be no rain, and the earth not yield its fruit, and you perish quickly from the good land which the Lord gave you.
And you shall lay up these words in your heart and in your soul, and you shall bind them as a sign upon your hand, and it shall be unshaken before your eyes.
And you shall teach them to your children, to speak of them when sitting in the house and when walking in the way and when lying down and when rising up.
that your days and the days of your children may be many upon the land which the Lord swore to your fathers to give to them, as the days of heaven upon the earth.
And it shall be, if you indeed hear all these commandments, as many as I command you today to do, to love the Lord our God and to walk in all his ways and to cleave to him,
Every place upon which the sole of your foot shall tread shall be yours: from the wilderness and Antilibanos, and from the river, the great river Euphrates, even to the sea that is toward the west, shall be your borders.
No one shall stand against your face; the Lord your God will put the dread of you and the fear of you upon the face of all the land upon which you set foot, just as the Lord spoke to you.
and the curses, if you do not hear the commandments of the Lord your God, as many as I command you today, and you go astray from the way which I commanded you, going to serve other gods whom you do not know.
And it shall be, when the Lord your God brings you into the land into which you are crossing, there to inherit it, then you shall set the blessing upon Mount Garizin and the curse upon Mount Gaibal.
Are not these beyond the Jordan, behind, along the way of the sunset, in the land of Chanaan, which lies toward the west, next to Golgol, near the high oak?
For you are crossing the Jordan, going in to inherit the land which the Lord your God gives you as an inheritance all the days; and you shall inherit it and dwell in it.
