ℹ️ This corpus has no verse-level morphological tagging. Lemmas come mainly from word-level tagging of other books in the same language (not from this verse), falling back to dictionary form-matching for the rest. Rare homographs can still be misread; verify against the original and a specialist lexicon where precision matters.
ℹ️ The Chinese and English alongside are this site's own translation, made directly from the original text on this page (not the CUV or the WEB, which follow the Masoretic Text and a different textual tradition).

Now Naiman, the commander of the army of Syria, was a great man before his lord and admired in countenance, because through him the Lord had given deliverance to Syria. And the man was mighty in strength, but he was leprous.
And the king of Syria said to Naiman, Come, go, and I will send a letter to the king of Israel. And he went and took in his hand ten talents of silver and six thousand pieces of gold and ten changes of raiment.
And he brought the letter to the king of Israel, saying, And now, when this letter comes to you, behold, I have sent to you Naiman my servant, and you shall take away his leprosy from him.
And it came about, when the king of Israel read the letter, that he tore his garments and said, Am I God, to put to death and to make alive, that this man sends to me to take away a man's leprosy? But now know and see that this man is seeking a pretext against me.
And it came about, when Elisha heard that the king of Israel had torn his garments, that he sent to the king of Israel, saying, Why did you tear your garments? Let Naiman come to me, and let him know that there is a prophet in Israel.
And Naiman was angry and went away and said, Behold, I said that he would come out to me and stand and call on the name of his god and lay his hand upon the place and take away the leprous part.
Are not Abana and Pharphar, rivers of Damascus, better than the Jordan and all the waters of Israel? May I not go and wash in them and be made clean? And he turned aside and went away in anger.
And his servants came near and spoke to him: The prophet has spoken a great word to you; will you not do it? How much more when he said to you, Wash and be clean.
So Naiman went down and dipped himself seven times in the Jordan, according to the word of Elisha; and his flesh was restored like the flesh of a little child, and he was made clean.
And he returned to Elisha, he and all his company, and he came and stood and said, Behold, now I know that there is no God in all the earth except in Israel; and now take a blessing from your servant.
And Naiman said, If not, then let there be given to your servant a load of a pair of mules, and you shall give me some of the red earth; for your servant will no longer offer whole burnt offering or sacrifice to other gods, but only to the Lord.
And may the Lord be merciful to your servant when my lord goes into the house of Remman to do obeisance there, and he leans upon my hand, and I do obeisance in the house of Remman: when he does obeisance in the house of Remman, may the Lord be merciful to your servant in this matter.
And Giezi, the servant of Elisha, said, Behold, my master has spared this Naiman the Syrian, not taking from his hand what he brought. As the Lord lives, I will surely run after him and take something from him.
And he said, Peace. My master has sent me, saying, Behold, just now two young men have come to me from the hill country of Ephraim, from the sons of the prophets. Give them, please, a talent of silver and two changes of raiment.
And Naiman said, Take two talents of silver. And he took it in two bags, and two changes of raiment, and he gave them to two of his servants, and they carried them before him.
And Elisha said to him, Did not my heart go with you when the man turned back from his chariot to meet you? And now you have taken the silver, and now you have taken the garments, and with it you shall get gardens and olive groves and vineyards and sheep and oxen and menservants and maidservants.
