Addidit quoque Job , assumens parabolam suam , et dixit :
Job again took up his parable, and said,

Vivit Deus , qui abstulit judicium meum , et Omnipotens , qui ad amaritudinem adduxit animam meam .
“As God lives, who has taken away my right, the Almighty, who has made my soul bitter
上帝奪去我的理,全能者使我心中愁苦。 我指着永生的上帝起誓:

Quia donec superest halitus in me , et spiritus Dei in naribus meis ,
(for the length of my life is still in me, and the spirit of God is in my nostrils);
我的生命尚在我裏面; 上帝所賜呼吸之氣仍在我的鼻孔內。
27:4▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
non loquentur labia mea iniquitatem , nec lingua mea meditabitur mendacium .
surely my lips will not speak unrighteousness, neither will my tongue utter deceit.
我的嘴決不說非義之言; 我的舌也不說詭詐之語。

Absit a me ut justos vos esse judicem : donec deficiam , non recedam ab innocentia mea .
Far be it from me that I should justify you. Until I die I will not put away my integrity from me.
我斷不以你們為是; 我至死必不以自己為不正!

Justificationem meam , quam coepi tenere , non deseram : neque enim reprehendit me cor meum in omni vita mea .
I hold fast to my righteousness, and will not let it go. My heart will not reproach me so long as I live.
我持定我的義,必不放鬆; 在世的日子,我心必不責備我。

Sit ut impius , inimicus meus , et adversarius meus quasi iniquus .
“Let my enemy be as the wicked. Let him who rises up against me be as the unrighteous.
願我的仇敵如惡人一樣; 願那起來攻擊我的,如不義之人一般。

Quae est enim spes hypocritae , si avare rapiat , et non liberet Deus animam ejus ?
For what is the hope of the godless, when he is cut off, when God takes away his life?
不敬虔的人雖然得利, 上帝奪取其命的時候還有甚麼指望呢?

Numquid Deus audiet clamorem ejus , cum venerit super eum angustia ?
Will God hear his cry when trouble comes on him?
患難臨到他, 上帝豈能聽他的呼求?

aut poterit in Omnipotente delectari , et invocare Deum omni tempore ?
Will he delight himself in the Almighty, and call on God at all times?
他豈以全能者為樂, 隨時求告上帝呢?

Docebo vos per manum Dei quae Omnipotens habeat , nec abscondam .
I will teach you about the hand of God. I will not conceal that which is with the Almighty.
上帝的作為,我要指教你們; 全能者所行的,我也不隱瞞。

Ecce vos omnes nostis : et quid sine causa vana loquimini ?
Behold, all of you have seen it yourselves; why then have you become altogether vain?
你們自己也都見過, 為何全然變為虛妄呢?
27:13▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
Haec est pars hominis impii apud Deum , et haereditas violentorum , quam ob Omnipotente suscipient .
“This is the portion of a wicked man with God, the heritage of oppressors, which they receive from the Almighty.
上帝為惡人所定的分, 強暴人從全能者所得的報 乃是這樣:

Si multiplicati fuerint filii ejus , in gladio erunt , et nepotes ejus non saturabuntur pane :
If his children are multiplied, it is for the sword. His offspring will not be satisfied with bread.
倘或他的兒女增多,還是被刀所殺; 他的子孫必不得飽食。
27:15▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
qui reliqui fuerint ex eo sepelientur in interitu , et viduae illius non plorabunt .
Those who remain of him will be buried in death. His widows will make no lamentation.
他所遺留的人必死而埋葬; 他的寡婦也不哀哭。

Si comportaverit quasi terram argentum , et sicut lutum praeparaverit vestimenta :
Though he heap up silver as the dust, and prepare clothing as the clay;
他雖積蓄銀子如塵沙, 預備衣服如泥土;
27:17▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
praeparabit quidem , sed justus vestietur illis , et argentum innocens dividet .
he may prepare it, but the just will put it on, and the innocent will divide the silver.
他只管預備,義人卻要穿上; 他的銀子,無辜的人要分取。

Aedificavit sicut tinea domum suam , et sicut custos fecit umbraculum .
He builds his house as the moth, as a booth which the watchman makes.
他建造房屋如蟲做窩, 又如守望者所搭的棚。
27:19▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
Dives , cum dormierit , nihil secum auferet : aperiet oculos suos , et nihil inveniet .
He lies down rich, but he will not do so again. He opens his eyes, and he is not.
他雖富足躺臥,卻不得收殮, 轉眼之間就不在了。
27:20▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
Apprehendet eum quasi aqua inopia : nocte opprimet eum tempestas .
Terrors overtake him like waters. A storm steals him away in the night.
驚恐如波濤將他追上; 暴風在夜間將他颳去。
27:21▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
Tollet eum ventus urens , et auferet , et velut turbo rapiet eum de loco suo .
The east wind carries him away, and he departs. It sweeps him out of his place.
東風把他飄去, 又颳他離開本處。
27:22▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
Et mittet super eum , et non parcet : de manu ejus fugiens fugiet .
For it hurls at him, and does not spare, as he flees away from his hand.
上帝要向他射箭,並不留情; 他恨不得逃脫上帝的手。
27:23▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
Stringet super eum manus suas , et sibilabit super illum , intuens locum ejus .
Men will clap their hands at him, and will hiss him out of his place.
人要向他拍掌, 並要發叱聲,使他離開本處。
