ℹ️ This corpus has no verse-level morphological tagging. Lemmas come mainly from word-level tagging of other books in the same language (not from this verse), falling back to dictionary form-matching for the rest. Rare homographs can still be misread; verify against the original and a specialist lexicon where precision matters.
ℹ️ The Chinese and English alongside are this site's own translation, made directly from the original text on this page (not the CUV or the WEB, which follow the Masoretic Text and a different textual tradition).

Israel is a vine with luxuriant branches; its fruit is abundant. According to the multitude of his fruits he multiplied the altars; according to the good things of his land he built pillars.
The inhabitants of Samaria shall dwell beside the calf of the house of On; for its people mourned over it, and just as they provoked it to bitterness, so they will gloat over its glory, because it was carried away from it.
And having bound it, they carried it away to the Assyrians as a present for King Jarim. Ephraim shall receive a gift, and Israel shall be ashamed of his own counsel.
The high places of On, the sins of Israel, shall be taken away. Thorns and thistles shall come up upon their altars. And they shall say to the mountains: Cover us! and to the hills: Fall upon us!
Since the days of the hills Israel has sinned; there they took their stand. On the hill, war against the children of injustice shall by no means overtake them.
Ephraim is a heifer trained to love strife. But I will come upon the fairest part of her neck; I will set a rider on Ephraim, and Judah I will pass over in silence; Jacob shall grow strong for him.
Sow for yourselves unto righteousness; reap unto the fruit of life; light for yourselves a light of knowledge; seek out the Lord, until the produce of righteousness comes to you.
Why did you keep silent about impiety? You reaped its injustices; you ate false fruit; because you hoped in your chariots, in the multitude of your might.
Destruction shall rise up among your people, and all your fortified places shall pass away, as prince Salaman from the house of Jeroboaal in the days of war, when they dashed the mother to the ground upon the children.
