Exodus 29

And these are the things which you shall do for them, to consecrate them so that they may serve me as priests: you shall take one young calf from the herd and two unblemished rams,

and unleavened loaves kneaded with oil, and unleavened wafers anointed with oil; of fine wheat flour you shall make them.

And you shall put them upon one basket, and you shall bring them near in the basket, along with the calf and the two rams.

And Aaron and his sons you shall bring to the doors of the tent of witness, and you shall wash them with water.

And taking the vestments you shall clothe Aaron your brother, both the long tunic and the ephod and the oracle; and you shall join the oracle to the ephod for him.

And you shall put the mitre upon his head, and you shall put the plate, the consecrated thing, upon the mitre.

And you shall take of the anointing oil and pour it upon his head, and anoint him.

And his sons you shall bring near, and you shall clothe them with tunics.

And you shall gird them with the sashes and put the turbans on them; and the priesthood shall be theirs, mine, for ever. And you shall perfect the hands of Aaron and the hands of his sons.

And you shall bring the calf to the doors of the tent of witness, and Aaron and his sons shall lay their hands upon the head of the calf before the Lord, by the doors of the tent of witness.

And you shall slaughter the calf before the Lord, by the doors of the tent of witness.

And you shall take of the blood of the calf and put it upon the horns of the altar with your finger, and all the rest of the blood you shall pour out beside the base of the altar.

And you shall take all the fat that is upon the belly, and the lobe of the liver, and the two kidneys and the fat that is upon them, and you shall put them upon the altar.

But the flesh of the calf, and the hide, and the dung you shall burn with fire outside the camp, for it is a sin offering.

And you shall take the one ram, and Aaron and his sons shall lay their hands upon the head of the ram.

And you shall slaughter it, and taking the blood you shall pour it round about upon the altar.

And you shall cut the ram in pieces limb by limb, and you shall wash the entrails and the feet with water, and you shall put them upon the pieces together with the head.

And you shall offer up the whole ram upon the altar: a whole burnt offering to the Lord, for a fragrant odour; it is a sacrifice to the Lord.

And you shall take the second ram, and Aaron and his sons shall lay their hands upon the head of the ram.

And you shall slaughter it, and take of its blood, and put it upon the lobe of Aaron's right ear, and upon the tip of the right hand, and upon the tip of the right foot; and upon the lobes of the right ears of his sons, and upon the tips of their right hands, and upon the tips of their right feet.

And you shall take of the blood that is from the altar, and of the anointing oil, and sprinkle it upon Aaron and upon his vestment, and upon his sons and upon the vestments of his sons with him; and he shall be consecrated, and his vestment, and his sons and the vestments of his sons with him. But the blood of the ram you shall pour round about upon the altar.

And you shall take from the ram its fat, and the fat that covers the belly, and the lobe of the liver, and the two kidneys and the fat that is upon them, and the right arm; for this is a consecration.

And one loaf made with oil, and one wafer from the basket of unleavened bread set before the Lord.

And you shall put all of them upon the hands of Aaron and upon the hands of his sons, and you shall set them apart as a special offering before the Lord.

And you shall take them from their hands, and offer them up upon the altar of whole burnt offering, for a fragrant odour before the Lord; it is an offering to the Lord.

And you shall take the breast from the ram of consecration, which is Aaron's, and you shall set it apart as a special offering before the Lord; and it shall be for you as a portion.

And you shall consecrate the breast as a special offering, and the arm of the contribution, which has been set apart and which has been taken from the ram of consecration, from Aaron and from his sons.

And it shall be for Aaron and for his sons a perpetual ordinance from the sons of Israel; for this is a contribution, and a contribution it shall be from the sons of Israel, from the sacrifices of deliverance of the sons of Israel, a contribution to the Lord.

And the vestment of the sanctuary, which is Aaron's, shall be for his sons after him, for them to be anointed in them and to have their hands perfected.

Seven days shall the priest in his stead, from among his sons, put them on, who shall enter into the tent of witness to minister in the holy places.

And you shall take the ram of consecration, and you shall boil the flesh in a holy place.

And Aaron and his sons shall eat the flesh of the ram and the loaves that are in the basket, by the doors of the tent of witness.

They shall eat those things by which they were sanctified, in them to perfect their hands, to consecrate them; and a foreigner shall not eat of them, for they are holy.

And if any of the flesh of the sacrifice of consecration and of the loaves be left until morning, you shall burn the remainder with fire; it shall not be eaten, for it is a consecrated thing.

And you shall do thus for Aaron and for his sons, according to all that I have commanded you; seven days you shall perfect their hands.

And the calf of the sin offering you shall offer on the day of cleansing; and you shall cleanse the altar when you consecrate upon it, and you shall anoint it so as to consecrate it.

Seven days you shall cleanse the altar and consecrate it; and the altar shall be most holy. Everyone who touches the altar shall be consecrated.

And these are the things which you shall offer upon the altar: two unblemished yearling lambs each day upon the altar continually, a continual offering.

The one lamb you shall offer in the morning, and the second lamb you shall offer toward evening.

And a tenth of fine flour kneaded with beaten oil, the fourth of a hin; and a drink offering, the fourth of a hin of wine, for the one lamb.

And the second lamb you shall offer toward evening; according to the morning offering and according to its drink offering you shall offer it, for a fragrant odour, an offering to the Lord.

a continual sacrifice throughout your generations, at the door of the tent of witness before the Lord, where I will make myself known to you from there, so as to speak to you.

And I will give orders there to the sons of Israel, and I shall be sanctified in my glory.

And I will consecrate the tent of witness and the altar; and Aaron and his sons I will consecrate, to serve me as priests.

And I will be invoked among the sons of Israel, and I will be their God.

And they shall know that I am the Lord their God, who brought them out of the land of Egypt, to be invoked by them and to be their God.
