ℹ️ This corpus has no verse-level morphological tagging. Lemmas come mainly from word-level tagging of other books in the same language (not from this verse), falling back to dictionary form-matching for the rest. Rare homographs can still be misread; verify against the original and a specialist lexicon where precision matters.
ℹ️ The Chinese and English alongside are this site's own translation, made directly from the original text on this page (not the CUV or the WEB, which follow the Masoretic Text and a different textual tradition).

22:1
If the thief is found breaking in and is struck and dies, there is no bloodguilt for him.

But if he is caught and the stolen thing is found alive in his hand, from donkey to sheep, he shall repay them double.

If someone grazes over a field or a vineyard, and lets his animal graze over another's field, he shall make restitution from his own field according to its yield; but if he grazes over the whole field, he shall pay with the best of his own field and the best of his own vineyard.

But if the thief is not found, the master of the house shall come before God and shall swear that he himself has surely not acted wickedly concerning the whole deposit of his neighbor.

an oath of God shall be between the two of them, that he himself has surely not acted wickedly concerning the whole deposit of his neighbor; and its owner shall accept it, and he shall not make restitution.

But if its owner is with it, he shall not make restitution; and if it was hired, it shall count for him in place of its hire.

But if her father utterly refuses and is unwilling to give her to him as a wife, he shall pay money to the father according to the bride-price of virgins.

And you shall not mistreat a sojourner, nor shall you oppress him, for you were sojourners in the land of Egypt.

But if you mistreat them with malice, and they cry out and call down to me, I will surely hear their voice;
你們若惡意苦待他們,他們向我哀號呼求,我必留心聽他們的聲音;
22:23
and I will be angry with wrath and will kill you with the sword, and your wives shall become widows and your children orphans.
