1:1

ταῦτα τὰ ὀνόματα τῶν υἱῶν Ισραηλ τῶν εἰσπεπορευμένων εἰς Αἴγυπτον ἅμα Ιακωβ τῷ πατρὶ αὐτῶν ἕκαστος πανοικίᾳ αὐτῶν εἰσήλθοσαν

These are the names of the sons of Israel who had gone into Egypt together with Jacob their father; each of them entered with their whole household.

這些是以色列眾子的名字，就是那些與他們的父親雅各一同進入埃及的；他們各人都帶著全家進去了。

1:2

Ρουβην Συμεων Λευι Ιουδας

Reuben, Symeon, Levi, Judas;

流便、西緬、利未、猶大；

1:3

Ισσαχαρ Ζαβουλων καὶ Βενιαμιν

Issachar, Zaboulon, and Benjamin;

以薩迦、西布倫和便雅憫；

1:4

Δαν καὶ Νεφθαλι Γαδ καὶ Ασηρ

Dan and Nephthali, Gad and Aser.

但和拿弗他利、迦得和亞設。

1:5

Ιωσηφ δὲ ἦν ἐν Αἰγύπτῳ ἦσαν δὲ πᾶσαι ψυχαὶ ἐξ Ιακωβ πέντε καὶ ἑβδομήκοντα

But Joseph was in Egypt. And all the souls that came from Jacob were seventy-five.

約瑟那時已在埃及。從雅各而出的人口，共有七十五。

1:6

ἐτελεύτησεν δὲ Ιωσηφ καὶ πάντες οἱ ἀδελφοὶ αὐτοῦ καὶ πᾶσα ἡ γενεὰ ἐκείνη

Then Joseph died, and all his brothers, and all that generation.

約瑟死了，他所有的弟兄和那一整代的人也都死了。

1:7

οἱ δὲ υἱοὶ Ισραηλ ηὐξήθησαν καὶ ἐπληθύνθησαν καὶ χυδαῖοι ἐγένοντο καὶ κατίσχυον σφόδρα σφόδρα ἐπλήθυνεν δὲ ἡ γῆ αὐτούς

But the sons of Israel increased and multiplied and became widespread and grew exceedingly strong; and the land multiplied them.

以色列的眾子卻繁衍增多，遍地都是，極其強盛；那地使他們增多起來。

1:8

ἀνέστη δὲ βασιλεὺς ἕτερος ἐπ’ Αἴγυπτον ὃς οὐκ ᾔδει τὸν Ιωσηφ

Then another king arose over Egypt, who did not know Joseph.

有另一個王興起統治埃及，他不認識約瑟。

1:9

εἶπεν δὲ τῷ ἔθνει αὐτοῦ ἰδοὺ τὸ γένος τῶν υἱῶν Ισραηλ μέγα πλῆθος καὶ ἰσχύει ὑπὲρ ἡμᾶς

And he said to his nation, “Behold, the race of the sons of Israel is a great multitude, and it is stronger than we are.”

他對他的民族說：看哪，以色列眾子的族類是極大的一群，比我們強盛。
